How is the day organised?During the Bachelor’s Open Day we want you to do more than simply learn about our different bachelor’s programmes, we want to give you a taste of what it is like to study at Maastricht University and live in the city of Maastricht. We have organised the Bachelor’s Open Day into three rounds to give you greater fl exibility. There will be a 30-minute break after rounds 1 and 2. round 1: 09.30 - 11.30 round 2: 12.00 - 14.00round 3: 14.30 - 16.30

In short, you have the opportunity to learn about three different bachelor’s programmes, go on guided tours and get general information about the university. Please bear in mind that it may take up to 30 minutes to travel between the various locations.

Information on study programmes During the information sessions you will receive information about the programmes and the Problem-Based Learning method. You will also be able to participate in forums, watch demonstrations and tour, for example, laboratories and practice rooms. We are also offering special sessions for parents, where informa-tion is provided on costs, safety issues, accommodation etc.

Information fairsThere are a number of information fairs where you can get information about admission requirements (including the so-called ‘matching’ procedure for non-fi xus programmes),

enrolment, tuition fees, accommodation, student associations, study and sports facilities and for example the courses of the UM Language Centre. You can also meet international students here:• in the city centre at the Student Services Centre

(Bonnefantenstraat 2);• in Randwyck in the Trefcentrum (Universiteitssingel 40).Each faculty also has a smaller information fair where you can get more specifi c information about the bachelor’s programmes at that faculty.

International At the Student Services Centre you will fi nd information for international students. Students of various nationalities are present to speak with you in your own language. You can also visit the presentation sessions ‘Get a smooth smart’.

Students, staff members and alumni share their experiences Throughout the Bachelor’s Open Day students, staff members and alumni are available to answer your questions about our programmes, the university and Maastricht as a student city.

Get a taste of Maastricht Tours in and around Maastricht depart at 11.30 and 14.00 from the entrance of the Student Services Centre (Bonnefantenstraat 2), also taking you past various UM buildings, such as the library with its well-equipped computer and study facilities. You can explore both library locations on your own.

Free parkingYou can park your car for free in the parking garages on the Universi-teitssingel (UNS). Attention: the parking garage at Universiteitssingel 40 closes at 17:30.

Social MediaVia our various social media channels you can follow all activities during the Bachelor’s Open Day. Follow #UMBOD14 to view messa-ges, photos and fi lms, posted by our social media reporters. Of course, you can also post a message yourself and don’t forget to post a selfi e. The ten best Open Day selfi es will win a Maastricht University T-shirt.
