In third grade, the weekly homework items are:

    Project-based HW

    Math worksheets

The project-based homework is due once a week. Your packet

includes instructions for every project for the entire year. Each week

includes an oral component, being a one minute presentation of what

your child learned that week. Each student will have a presentation

day. Please refer to the schedule.

Note: No late oral language assignments will be accepted unless the

    student is absent.

Math HW is sent home Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and is to

    be returned the following day.

We encourage your children to read 20-25 minutes per night

Room 9s Book Clubs are an exciting way

    to motivate students to read

Book Club is a time for your child to talk to other students about

books they are reading. To guide our discussions, students use a list of

prompts to write their thoughts in a letter to share with their Book Club.

Book Club starts next week (Sept 22).

They will have time in class to be reading their book and writing their

Book Club letter. If they don't finish their letter in class,

    it will come

    home as homework.

The children are invited to bring an extra snack on their Book Club

day. In the past, parents have coordinated to rotate bringing in

snacks for their childsBook Club group.
