BackgroundandHistoryofLaminine
WHATISLAMININE?
Laminineisanaminoacidpeptidewhichhasalltherequirednourishmenttosustainlife. (Anaminoacidisthe
buildingblockofproteininwhicheachislinkedtogetherthroughpeptidebonds;andapeptideisanamino
acidcompoundthatconsistsof2ormoreaminoacids).
Thereareover100aminoacidsthatoccurnaturally,butonlytwentyofthemareinvolvedinmakingupa
protein,andareclassifiedaseithernonessentialoressential.Nonessentialaminoacidsaresonamed
becausetheycanbesynthesizedinthebody.Theseincludealanine,arginine,asparticacid,asparagine,
cysteine,glutamicacid,glutamine,glycine,proline,serine,andtyrosine.Essentialorindispensableaminoacids
cannotbesynthesizedinthebodyandcanonlybeobtainedthroughfood.Thesebecometheratelimiting
factorsforthesynthesisofcertainproteinsinthebody. Theessentialaminoacidsarehistidine,isoleucine,
leucine,lysine,methionine,phenylalanine,threonine,tryptophan,andvaline.
BeforetheproductionofthesupplementknownasLaminine,noothercompanieshaddevelopedand
marketedacombinationofaminoacids,peptides,andgrowthfactorsrequiredtosustainrobusthealth.
THEHISTORY
OF
LAMININE:
In1929aCanadiandoctor,Dr.JohnRalstonDavison,theorizedthataninjectedextractfromfertilizedheneggs
couldbehelpfulforanumberofhiscancerpatients.Davidsonspentwelloveradecadedevelopingand
researchinghistheory. HepublishedanumberofstudiesonhisdiscoveryintheCanadianJournalof
Medicine,however,whenDr.Davidsonpassedawayin1943,hisresearchonfertilizedheneggsquicklyand
quietlycametoahaltandwaslost.
Itwasntuntilalmost50yearslaterthatthepursuitoffertilizedheneggextractwas
revivedbyNorwaysforemostexpertoneggresearch,
Dr.Bjodne
Eskeland.
Dr.Eskelandalsohypothesizedthatincubated,fertilizedheneggscontainedaspecialcombinationofamino
acids,peptides,andproteinfractionsthatcouldhelpprovideanincrediblearrayofhealthbenefitswhen
consumedbyhumans.
Intheory,thesepartiallyincubated,fertilizedeggsspecifically9dayoldfertilizedeggscontainallthe
nutrientsrequiredtostartanewlife.Thisincludesvitamins,mineralsandproteins,aswellasimportant
defensefactors,growthfactors,hormonesandotherbiologicallyactivecomponents.Whilenotmuchwas
knownaboutthegrowthfactoratthetime,thehighlevelofoligopeptides(smallpeptides)foundinLaminine
allowsforrapidtransportacrossthemembranesofthegastrointestinaltractinordertoprovideeffective
benefitsfromtheseaminoacids.
ManufacturerofLaminine:
Lamininesparentcompany,LifePharmInc.,researchedwhatwasbeingdonewiththiskeyingredient,also
calledYTEorYoungTissueExtract, thathaddemonstratedsomanyhealthassociatedbenefits.
LifePharmcontactedtheteamofscientistsinNorwayworkingwithYTE,andnowhaveexclusiverightsfor
distributionofthisproductunderthebrandname"Laminine"andhaveitmanufacturedexclusivelyforthem.
Apatentedprocessextractsthecriticalnutritionalfluidfromthewhiteofaneggattheprotoembryonicstage
(onlytheeggyolkispresentandnodevelopingchicken),sothemanufacturercalleditProtoEmbryonicStage
Extract(PESE).Theextractnotonlyprovidesamechanismofrapidtransportofverycriticalnutrients,butalso

containsBasicFibroblastGrowthFactor,whichisprobablyresponsiblefortheaminoacidsandpeptidesbeing
utilizedintherightmanner,bydirectingtheirusebythebody.Thisgrowthfactorisalsoresponsiblefor
nurturingthebodysownstemcellsbothdifferentiated,andundifferentiated(undifferentiatedstemcellscan
rebuildanyofthetissuesofthebody). Commonaminoacidformulationsdonotcontainthisgrowthfactor,
andmaynotbeutilizedbythebraininthemostefficientmanner.
AteamofscientistsleadbyDr.AlexMartin,aleadingdoctorinthestudyofnutritionalsupplements,atthe
LifePharminstituteoftechnologywenttoworktodevelopwhattheytermed"theperfectsupplement".Using
