ISSUES & CHALLANGESa. Specific course content needs prerequisite knowledge and
computer skills → not all participants have it → decreasing available time for the main topic.
b. Little has been done to investigate whether the participants apply the knowledge from the training when they go back to their countries.
c. Gaps between training demands and supply: The training is usually organized from the supply side without knowing the demand → need to pay attention on the demand side so the training will be more useful → the participant can apply statistics for policy analysis in their countries.
d. There is a need for improving the different types of training to handle current issues.
e. The challenge of introducing cost-effective methodology in the training → e-learning and distance learning.
f. Budget constraints → The need for sustainable collaboration with international institutions for supporting the trainings.
