Authentication Methods

• Internet Protocol (IP) Address– Verification that person is a Wisconsin

resident– Provides seamless access when registered– Not all Internet Service Providers (ISP) can

specify Wisconsin only IP ranges– Vendors add and change IP address

ranges daily



• Library Card Access– Associates BadgerLink user with a local

library– Libraries must register library card ranges– Provides in-state and out-of-state access



• Library Card Access– Patterned ID access for schools

EBSCO’s Page Composer

Page Composer• Allows you to create customized web

pages that include EBSCOhost searches and persistent links

• Page Composer is integrated with EBSCOhost– You do not have to log in to a different

service to create web pages

• Web pages can be saved and stored for future management in your personal folder

EBSCOhost– Click on Sign in to My EBSCOhost link

from the EBSCO toolbar

• My EBSCOhost is a personal folder in which you can save – Result List items – Persistent links to searches – Saved searches– Search Alerts– Journal Alerts – Web pages

displays a “MY” banner on the corner to signify that you have logged in to your personal folder
