Mng vin thng c coi l h tng c s ca x hi s dng k thut in, in t v cc cng ngh khc chuyn giao thng tin. Mng vin thng di gc n ginnhtcnhn nhngmtphpccntmng,cc ngtruyndnktni gia hai hay nhiu im xc nh v cc thit b u cui thc hin trao i thng tin gia ngi s dng. Mt cch khi qut chng ta c th coi tt c cc trang thit b, phng tin c s dng cung cp dch v vin thng to thnh mng vin thng. Thit b u cui l cc trang thit b ca ngi s dng giao tip vi mng cung cp dch v.
