Global Indices Performance

Dow Jones Industrial Average.

Recently, DJIA has given a breakout from an Inverted Head and Shoulder pattern which is against the characteristics of a pattern. Positive crossover too observed in MACD. Target of the pattern comes around 32,000.

Russell 2000:

US Smallcap Index i.e. Russell 2000 is perfectly moving in upward channel. From the past couple of months, Index faced stiff hurdle of 1600 which was now successfully breached with a confirmation of positive crossover in MACD. Immediate target is 1750 followed by 1930.

Global Indices Performance

DAX 30

German major index is in higher highs, higher lows formation and recently given a breakout from an inverted head and shoulder formation. Same pattern breakout was witnessed in RSI too which confirmed price breakout. Target of IH&S pattern comes around 14,930.

HangSeng Index

Index stands at the brink of symmetrical triangle pattern breakout. RSI has already given a trend line breakout, price breakout is about to follow.

• Polarization was seen in the markets as Nifty50 (Green line) gained over 52.81% whereas Midcap100 (Blue line) retuned 26.31% and

Smallcap100 (Black line) with a marginal gain of 2.07%; which gives plenty of opportunities to broader markets to perform.

• It is advisable to select up-trending stocks with good fundamentals coupled with structural changes in the economy; Small & Midcap stocks

tend to bounce sharper and quicker and will outperform large cap stocks.

Nifty Auto

Auto sector has made classic double bottom formation and is currently forming an Inverted Head and Shoulder formation.

Stocks to watch: Bajaj Auto, Eicher Motors, Maruti and TVS Motors.

Nifty Metal

From 2018 till date, sector was trading in a lower top lower bottom formation but recently it moved out from the bearish channel.

Stocks to watch: Hindalco, Jindal Steel, Tata Steel.

• Once stock price breaches 2280’s zone on a weekly closing basis, target of the pattern comes around 2770.

• Crude-oil is in secular downtrend with a cyclical uptrend. At present, Crude-oil stands at the brink of a pattern breakout i.e. symmetrical triangle and that too near long term downward sloping trend line.

• MACD is about to give positive crossover which will confirm pattern breakout. • Target of a symmetrical triangle comes around $78. • With a probable spike in crude-oil prices will affect several industries like paints, aviation, plastic and so on.

• After a consolidation of over 6 years, Gold finally came out from the range with a dual pattern breakout i.e. rounding bottom and flag & pole pattern.

• Once again, Gold is forming continuation pattern i.e. flag and pole. Looking at trend following indicator- MACD is on a verge of positive crossover. RSI has already given a breakout from a falling trend line.

• Target of flag and pole pattern comes around $1730.
