• The National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan has a plan to build sports facilities if Baku becomes the capital of the Summer Olympic Games.

• They have planned where the Olympic Village would be. It will be located where the Azerneftyag oil refinery.

The Benefits of the Olympics going to Baku

• There is a lot of public interest for the Olympics going to Azerbaijan.

• It was announced that on September 1st 2011 to host the Summer Olympics 2020.

• The Government is clearly exited for the chance to host the Olympics.

• The government has planned where the Olympics is going to be. And he put in his bid early.

• If Baku hosts the Olympics it would be there first time.

• So the government will have to fund all the resouces and structures for the Olympics.

• If you want to go to Baku from America you have to take multiple flights . It is very hard to travel.

• When you arrive in Azerbaijan it is 25 km (15 miles) to Baku city center.
