The plastic concentration is estimated to be up to 100 kilograms per square kilometer in the center. An estimated 80,000 metric tons of plastic inhabit the patch, totaling 1.8 trillion pieces. Some of the plastic in the patch has been found to be over 50 years old, and includes fragments of and items such as "plastic lighters, toothbrushes, water bottles, pens, baby bottles, cell phones etc. It is estimated that "for every square mile of ocean", there are about "46,000 pieces of plastic". The small fibers of wood pulp found throughout the patch are "believed to originate from the thousands of tons of toilet paper flushed into the oceans daily". We celebrated the link of Happiness and Nature by organizing fun-filled Eco Carnival. The day saw pioneer science exhibits made by students from class I to XI presenting innovative ideas and inventions. The carnival saw a massive footfall of students and parents and aroused awareness amongst all about harms of single use plastic and urged everyone to spare a thought over the same. Carnival was graced by the presence of Dr. Anil Kumar, Ex-Director Department of Environment Delhi and Dr.Udayan Ghose, Professor GGS IP University. After the celebratory ribbon cutting and lamp lighting, the Carnival was formally declared open for all to enjoy. It was also the day to honor meritorious Science Achievers of the School and the Academic Toppers of previous sessions. Students received their Awards from the hands of esteemed dignitaries of the day. Other than science exhibition, there also were Game Stalls and Kids Zone; designed and crafted by teachers and students of the school, Fun rides, Food Stalls, Retail and Promotional stalls, Live Printing and Virtual Reality Stalls, Tattoo and Art n Craft and also the most visited 'Selfie Point'. There also were Cultural Performances, Yoga, Cycling, Gymnastics and Games for the parents to enthrall the audience. By the end of the day it was stockpile of cherished moments, leaving everyone yearning for more…

8th B.K. GUPTA MEMORIAL CRICKET TOURNAMENTIn cherished memory of our honorable Founder Member, 8th B.K.Gupta Memorial Cricket Tournament was hosted and organized by Group of Bal Bhavan Schools. The Tournament saw the participation of 20 teams playing 47 matches in all. After a mesmerizing Opening Ceremony, the elimination Round followed by Quarters and Semi Finals were played. The final match took place between our School team and Modern School, Barakhamba Road. After losing the toss to rivals, we ended up chasing a whopping target of 187 runs. We triumphantly lifted the Cup with the score of 188 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. This was followed by a befitting Closing Ceremony in the august presence of Sh. Rajat Paliwal, Captain Services; Sh. Pushpender Verma, Member of Parliament; Sh. B.B.Gupta, Chairman Bal Bhavan School and Sh. Kunal Gupta, Principal Bal Bhavan International School. The host school awarded cash price to each and every six and four that was hit in the tournament. It becomes paramount to mention here that out of Eight times the Tournament had been held and played, Our School Cricket Team won Six times, establishing our Supreme excellence in the Game.

A MOMENT OF SCIENCE PLEASE!Promising Young Minds with Flair for Science

TINKER FESTInter School Science Competition was hosted by the school that was dedicated to the display of 'Innovation and Invention as the calling cards of the future'. Aptly titled, 'Aspirations –Beyond Eternal Progressions', the fest was a cornucopia of Modernized Scientific Amusement. The competition saw students exhibiting working models on myriad facets of science, programming and technology and presented feasible solutions to many prevalent issues. The models were judged by Mr. V. SelvaRajan, Environmental Activist and Founder of Green Circle-Environment NGO and Mr. Aman Thapak, Assistant Professor, SGT University on the basis of their creativity, presentation and viability. The winning teams received Excellence Certificate and a Trophy from the host school.

Team BBIS wins 'Hearts' at Enviro-HealthTeam of aspiring young scientists, Pratham Tiwari; class XII, Vishnu Singh; class XI and Garv Garg; class X bagged second position in an Inter School Enviro-Health Competition organized by Heart Care Foundation of India. The boys bagged second position in the competition for their model, ESAP- Every Solution for Air Pollution, and received a cash prize of Rs. 7000/- along with Appreciation Certificate in the august presence of Padma Shree Dr. K.K.Aggarwal, a reputed Physician and Lifestyle Interventional Cardiologist.

Budding Scientists at Work- Winners at SGT UNIVERSITYRavleen kaur of class XIth and Bhavya of Class IXth participated in 'Synergy -2019, Inter school science Competition held at SGT University Gurugram wherein more than 250 models from Delhi NCR competed for the title. The team from BBIS exhibited a model on modern agriculture Technology-AGRONOMIST's COMPANION and bagged 3rd position for the same thereby receiving Certificate, Trophy and a cash prize of 5000/-. Garv Garg and Aradhaya made a Drone that aided in obstacle free medical aid and received Special Recognition along with a cash Prize of 1100/-.

Inter School—ROBO WARGarv Garg and Souparno Ghose of class X participated in Inter School Robo Fest and secured 1st position in ROBOWAR. The team of boys indulged in 'Robo Fight' for first round and moved on to the second round which was interactive question answer round, thus claiming their winning title. Diksha, class VIII and Anushka, class VII displayed a working model on 'Water Conservation' and bagged 2nd position.

BBIS Pioneers — For Environment through TechnologyYoung and Innovative minds of our school, Garv Garg of class X and Anushka Jyoti of class VII, participated in Interschool “Atal Tinkering Fest” held at N. K.Bagrodia wherein they showcased immense creativity and ingenuity in making and displaying their exhibits thereby bagging 2nd position. The team that truly had been, “Saviors of Environment” presented working models of Solar Bicycle, MEUF- A filtration process, Pervious Concrete, Moringa Seeds Purification and Soil Moisture Sensor.

BBIS Young Innovators selected for NationalsRavleen Kaur, class XI and Diksha class VIII displayed their exhibit 'Elixir Of life' in CBSE Regional Science Exhibition on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development and now the team is all set to represent and compete at National Level. As the title of the model suggests, it laid emphasis on Conservation of Water-the elixir of life. The working of the model and the presentation of the team was received with tremendous applause.

National Science Quiz Competition at Shoolini University, SolanTeam of Himanshi Shekhawat of class XII, Sumit Kumar and Akshat Sharma of class XI reached top ten and received Certificate and Trophy in appreciation of their excellence. The students were selected after an intra school round held in the premises of BBIS and moved on to compete at Inter School level.

Science Activities for classes VI to XWith an aim to channelize creativity and imagination of the student's class wise science activities were organized for the students. To name a few-Design It-Built it, Designing Portables, Designing Solar oven, Pin hole camera, were planned and implemented. The activities aimed at making young minds have a pragmatic know-how of the theoretical part studied. Best selected exhibits got displayed in the Eco-Carnival held later in the school.

Appreciation for BBIS Artistes-Bal Ram Leela Performance To develop a sense of respect for our cultural heritage in children we at BBIS encourage and motivate our budding performers to participate annually in “Sampooran Baal Ram Leela”. It is a one of its kind theatrical presentation of 'the Ramayana' and is entirely presented by children. This year, sixty-five of our school students exuberantly participated in the show and performed “Ganesh Vandana” and also enacted the sequence of “Lanka Dahan”. The polished skill and artistry with which the students performed left the spectators spellbound. The audience specifically praised the character portrayal of 'Lord Hanuman' and 'Ravan'. Our school students received the honor of 'Best presentation'.

Awards and Appreciations at Galaxia- Inter-School Event“Every child is an artist.” - Pablo Picasso

Our team of budding artistes participated in “Galaxia-Inter- School Event and came back with bags and hands full of trophies and smiles of contentment on their faces. The event that saw participation of many schools was cataloged in 21 categories and was designed to explore technical know-how, creativity, art and expression along with oratory skills and presentation of the students. Our school students bagged Coveted First position in competitive activities - 'Bol Re Kathputli', 'Gustakhi Maaf', “The Mute Cacophony', Conversations of Collocations', 'Battle of Bands' and 'Rangotsav'; Second Position in 'Tycoons of Ad Industry' and 'Folk Dance' and Third position in 'App Inventor', 'Paint the Town Red' and 'Vicharon ki Abhivyakti'. The stellar performance of the students is worthy to be cherished and appreciated.

Shanaya – The work of the Feet is to walk; hers' is to DanceShanaya, a budding dancer of class 1 participated in the 5th All India drama and dance competition Rangotsav 2019 and was awarded as the best solo dancer. She also bagged First position in Solo Dance at Meerut IPTA. The Little Marvel Received Special Award at Tansen Social Welfare Association and Indian National Trust for Art and Heritage.

Brilliance sparkled at Indian People's Theatre Association (IPTA) Meerut Our school teams bagged coveted positions with their spectacular performances at IPTA. They bagged first Position in Group Dance and also in Duet Classical Dance performance by Vaibhavi and Akshima. The team also presented a play, 'Mein Nahin Bataunga Bhai' and received heartiest applauds and appreciation.

15th National Inter School Competition at PanipatThe dance disciples of the school gave a s t u n n i n g a n d w e l l a p p l a u d e d performance at 15th Inter School Performing Arts Competition, held at Geeta Vidya Mandir Panipat. The team was commended and appreciated for their spectacular show.

Jhankaar -Inter school Competition In an Inter school Performing Arts competition, we secured First Position in Light Music Solo by Sidharth Sharma and Third Position in Patriotic Group Song Singing.

Bal Kala Utsav Sidharth Sharma, the melodious Singer and Shanaya, the sparkling dancer and Tanishq Chaudhary, the brilliant actor; all three received Special Recognition Award at Bal Kala Utsav.

Sukhman Singh of class VII secured First position in Inter Zonal Punjabi Poem Recitation.

Ayachi Thakur, class VII secured First position in Inter Zonal Solo Singing.

ACTIVITIES / EVENTS

Blingy Jingles—Rhyming the RhymesPoetry is rhythmical creation of beauty in words. It is an art of expression that conveys moods and feelings to the audience in the most powerful way. Students of Nursery and KG participated in Blingy Jingles activity wherein they recited poems and rhymes with voice modulations, expressions and props.

Laughter is an Instant Vacation - Laughing gags for KinderGarten. All that I am after, is a life full of Laughter. There is nothing in the world so overwhelmingly contagious than a laugh. Laughter indeed is the language of happiness. The students of kindergarten participated in Laughing Gags where they all came prepared with jokes and funny sounds and dressed up as characters to make everyone laugh-out-loud. The activity aimed at honing their oratory skills along with boosting their confidence. Cute little marvels made the spectators rolling out laughing with their sound effects.

Geet Gao – Hindi Poem RecitationTo spread the fragrance of poetry among the children of KG, a Hindi Poem Recitation competition-Geet Gao was held. The participants dressed up according to the theme of their poem, delivered their recital with diction, modulation and expression. All the participants were applauded and praised for their energetic and expressive rendition.

Kuch Meetha Ho Jaye-Toddlers enjoy Diwali festivitiesIt is hard to imagine celebrating Diwali without thinking about giving sweets. An activity aptly titled 'KUCH MEETHA HO JAYE was organized for the students. Teachers prepared Coconut Laddoo using Milkmaid and Grated Coconut. Kids had a great time preparing Laddus and serving and sharing them with their friends. This activity rendered sweetness to the Diwali Celebrations.

Double double toil and trouble; Fire burn and cauldron Bubble; It's Halloween!Halloween Day at BBIS saw students of Nursery and KG walking around dressed up as happy Superheroes, Fairies, Witches, Goblins and other interesting characters. Excited faces were seen everywhere as children posed for photographs. The teachers created a bone-chilling environment and to make it creepier, spooky music was played at the background. Students enjoyed a lot and learnt why we celebrate Halloween

All in Good Tidings—Christmas Comes CallingThis year we chose to walk on the road less chosen. For Christmas, there indeed was a Santa Claus, but rather than bag of goodies he had a garbage bag in his hands meant to collect and clean up all the plastic waste we humans have strewn here and there. Other than this there was a Special Assembly by class III where carols were sung in Yuletide Spirits to celebrate the joyous occasion. Santa Claus visited primary classes distributing toffees to all. Merry Christmas!

Corporate DayAn Inter-House competition was conducted to mark 'The Corporate Day' for classes IX to XI where Students from all the four houses- Liberty, Peace, Vision and Harmony engaged themselves with full exhilaration. The theme given to compete was to draft, design, organize and host an 'Event' similar to the lines of Event Management. The activity aimed at developing entrepreneurial skills of the students. In the end it was Liberty House that proved their business acumen bagging First position. Harmony House Second, Peace House Third and Vision House got the fourth position

Holistic Development WeekIt is very important to provide holistic development to our students wherein learning combines mental, physical, social, emotional and spiritual growth. To fulfill this responsibility, 'Holistic Development Week' was conducted for classes VI to VIII. For class VI there was a training session on table manners and etiquettes. Students of class VII attended a session on Personality Development organized by HT under the guidance of eminent speakers, Mr. Saurabh Tankha, Ashwani Kumar Sharma and Ms. Upasna Kaura. For class VIII the theme was Anger Management. Students discussed the topic and also learnt about ways and means to tackle and handle the devil of anger. In the same week Ravleen Kaur, Lavanya & Yugam from class XI and XII went to HT office for caricature workshop. Their drawings were than printed in the newspaper as well.

Bal Bhavan says NO to PLASTICStudents of classes III to VIII took an initiative to spread awareness about harms of plastic. With placards and banners in their hands the students accompanied by their teachers went to the neighboring areas of school. A Nukkad Natak was performed along with distribution of handmade paper bags to the audience. As rightly said, “Awareness is the beginning of Change”.

Seeking Divine Blessings of Maa Durga - Navratri CelebrationNavratri, the most auspicious festival spanning over nine days, each devoted to one of the nine forms of Goddess Durga. The tenth day of the Festival is being celebrated as Dussehra commemorating the victory of good over evil. A series of activities and events for students of classes I to V added festive cheers to the religious fervor. A Special Assembly by students of Class 1 that aimed at enriching the students about the motives behind celebrating Navratri was conducted. The Assembly included a Durga Stuti and a mesmerizing depiction of the eternal powers of Goddess Durga, in the form of a stage performance. After the assembly ethnically and vibrantly dressed up students, played 'dandiya' and 'Garba'. There also were activities to mark the celebration of Dussehra, 'Ek Shaam Ram Ke Naam'.

Let Green be the color, this Diwali.Committed to dedicatedly work for the environment, the socially responsible students of BBIS took it upon themselves to spread the message, “Green Diwali, Clean Diwali”. With placard and banners in their hands they carried a procession not only inside the school but reached out to the society as well. A march was held in the vicinity covering surrounding areas of the school and people were made conscious about the ill effects of burning crackers. Captivating slogans and attractive posters caught the attention of one and all.

Power in ONENESS WeekIndia, is known to harbinger different religions, languages, cultures but still be united by the feeling of ONENESS, 'God is One' and we must Respect all; this oneness was celebrated with students of class I through a series of activities scheduled though-out week. With each passing day students got to know about different Religions, Places of Worship, Customs, Culture, and also about clothing worn according to region and religion. Power of ONENESS made students United in spirit and in action.

Visit to Gurudwara Students of class I went on a religious visit to 'Gurudwara'. There they spent some time soaking themselves in the Divine and spiritual fervor and then while getting back got blessed by savoring Kadah Prashad and langar from community kitchen.

Let's be ARTSY- Make in India A host of creative and artistic activities were organized to mark Make In India Week for Students of class Nursery and KG, this was aimed to augment their imagination and enhance their artistic skills. Tiny tots enjoyed making Rangoli and doing Pot Decoration and Card Making with their classmates and teachers.

Healthy India WeekStudents of Class II had a “Healthy India Week”, where they gained knowledge of healthy eating habits and significance of maintaining personal hygiene. There were Presentations shown, collages made, nature walks done throughout the week. Students compared Healthy food and Junk food in the form of characters of Chota bheem (for healthy food) and Kalia (for junk food). They were also made aware about proper disposal of waste; dry and wet.The culmination of the week was with 'Flameless cooking', making some mouth-watering and delectable recipes.

World food day“Let us all recommit ourselves to doing our bit to eradicate Hunger”. Care and Share club of the school took it to themselves to spread happiness by sharing Cornucopia filled with wishes and Food to the needy. The packed food items were collected from across all classes and was then handed over to an NGO working for destitutes and impoverished.

Right to Clean Air--Masks for allFollowing spike in the pollution level, Delhi Government stepped forward and distributed packet of N95 masks to all the students. Each child received a packet containing two masks to combat the rising levels of hazardous air.

PROFESSIONAL ENRICHMENT

Moments of Pride--Winners of Orange Global OlympiadConduction of Orange Global Olympiad in our school saw massive participation of students. The exam is aligned with school curriculum and tests the learning level of the students.. A total of 383 students qualified for the second level-In Maths-189, Science-96, English-88 and in Astronomy-10. There were 44 Gold, 41 Silver and 40 Bronze medals being awarded to the qualifiers. Also to mention Nikita, a student of class IX being awarded with a cash prize of Rs 1000 for scoring 47/50 in Math.

Global Outreach A highly informative session on global education was organised for the students of class XI by Edugen Study Abroad consultants wherein Ms. Arja Vainio- Mattila, Provost, Vice President Academic and Research and Ms. Sarah Elizabeth Taylor from Nipissing University (Canada) counseled the students for choosing the right course that leads to the right career path. The process and procedure for admission in Foreign Universities was also discussed in the session.

Value Education Olympic at BBISBhagwad Gita is the manifest quintessence of all the teachings. Reading and following the discourses of this Holy Book makes one morally upright. Desirous of achieving the same, students from classes V to XII participated in Value Education Olympiad that was organized by ISKCON. A total of 186 students participated in it wherein Avichal of class VIII brought laurels to the school by securing Third position amongst Delhi State competitors.

Spell Bee“The aim of the game is to become the champion of SPELL- BEE;This contest is tough even for the character like BUMBLE – BEE”The Blooming Spell warriors of BBIS participated in India's largest spelling competition “SPELLBEE”. All Students from classes 6-8 participated in the contest with full enthusiasm, passion and zeal. The contest was basically designed to test the spelling acumen of the students with a written test having multiple choice questions where the participants have to select the correctly spelt word.

Feel alive with this beautiful EarthSony BBC organized and conducted a workshop for students of class VI to VIII. There were videos shown, facts and information shared and quiz on environment. The winners of the quiz received eco-friendly pens and pencils containing seeds that could be sown.

Development Program at IIT KharagpurMs. Jaspreet Kaur, Vice Principal, attended a hands-on Faculty Development Program on Effective Teaching at IIT Kharagpur. The three day course had sessions on;-How to make School Future Ready, Content Development, Curriculum Framework, Good Teaching and its Attributes, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality in Education. The extensive Program saw the attendance of many a School Heads and helped in achieving amplified, outcome based learning.

Commerce Olympiad In association with Commerce Teachers Foundation (CTF), 11th International Commerce Olympiad was conducted for commerce students of class XI and XII. The exam aimed at honing the intellectual of commerce students, and strived to enhance academic excellence thereby. Around 75 students appeared in the Olympiad that covered Business Studies, Accountancy, Logical Reasoning and General Business Knowledge.

Enrichment and DevelopmentIt is Change and Change only that facilitates the channels of learning and evolving. The staff of the school regularly engages in Workshops, Seminars and Enrichment Programs to enhance their professional skills and know how.

Hindi and Sanskrit OlympiadIn association with Hindi Vikas Manch, the School conducted Rashtriya Hindi Olympiad wherein a total of 114 students appeared. School also conducted Rashtriya Sanskrit Olympiad in association with Sanskrit Bharti Andhra Pradesh that saw a participation of 120 students.

Company Secretary-A CareerStudents of class XI across all streams; Humanities, Science and Commerce; attended a session on 'Company Secretary-A Career Option'. The session aimed at acclimatizing students about the profile of Company Secretary and the significant role he plays in Business Development. Students were given vital information about Syllabus, Eligibility and Entrance by the eminent resource person.

Kidzania Kidzania was the place to be, for our adorable Bhavanites of class Nursery and KG. Little marvels enjoyed many role-play activities which helped them in building their cognitive skills, fine motor skills and also brushed their social skills. Kids had loads and loads of fun becoming doctors, firefighters, teachers, special agents and what not. After all the enactments and role plays, there was dance time and receiving of parting gifts. A day well spent with merrymaking and thrills of living your dreams.

Joy Gaon Children of classes I to VIII explored the myriad hues of rustic village set up with a fun-day-one-day picnic to ethnic set up of Joy Gaon. A make believe village that's fully furnished with raw flavors of countryside life and adventure activities. There were magic shows and puppet shows for the younger ones. Elder students thoroughly enjoyed their day at the farm playing darts, archery, air gun and doing other chores and activities. Girls had a gala time playing the village muse; dressing up in Rajasthani attire and rolling the chakki and charkha. There also was added attraction of camel and tractor rides.Students danced merrily on the foot tapping beats of Punjabi music.

Adventure trip to Deva CampBring your own weather to picnic and enjoy sunshine, freedom and playtime. This was exactly what students of classes IX to XI experienced at one day Adventure trip to Deva Camp, Alipur. At the camp the children participated and enjoyed Zip line, Burma Bridge, Wall climbing, Bungee, Archery, Darts and Tractor and Camel rides under the supervision and guidance of professional instructors. Delicious food and DJ dance filled the day with cherished memories and strengthened friendships. A treasure trove of happiness for all!

A session on –“First Impression Matters” Students of class XI and XII experienced a hands-on session on, 'Creating First Impression' that was excellently arranged by HT Pace. The session was presided over by Dr. Gurjeet kaur Chawla, Associate Professor and Associate Dean, Student Welfare Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies. She explained how it is very important to create a positive first impression, and how time and first impression are irretrievable. A presentation along with explanation added worth to the session.

Teaching English through TheatreFor Language Teachers of class KG to V, a day's workshop was conducted in the school on the topic, 'Teaching English through Theatre'.

Gitesh Lakra, showed his valor in Boxing Championship organized by SGFI. He participated in U-14; weight category below 45 and bagged 1st position in Zonals and 3rd position in Inter Zonals. He also received Gold in Delhi State Boxing Championship. Good wishes!

Lakshay Lakra, a wrestler in making who fights his competitors in U-14 below 36 weight category, bagged 2nd position in Zonal Boxing Championship and moved on to get 3rd position in Inter Zonals. He got 3rd position in Delhi State and also participated in Mini India Wrestling Camp, held at Chhatrasal Stadium.

Sanovi Lochab participated in Wrestling Championship in U-17 below 56 Kg weight category and bagged 1st position in Zonals and 2nd position in Inter Zonals & Kanika Gautam, U-17 got 2nd position in 1500 meter Race.

Volleyball GemsTeam of U-19 boys bagged 3rd position in Volleyball. Further four of the boys Arjun Singh, Prasoon Tyagi, Ankit Singh and Shubham Nagar have been selected to play Inter Zonals.

Swastik Sharma- Shining Tennis Star Swastik is a wonder kid when it comes to Tennis and has bagged a host of accolades. In CS7 U-16 Lawn Tennis Tournament by AITA he got 2nd position. In CS7 U-14 he bagged 1st position. In U-14 Super Series Doubles Lawn Tennis Tournament held at Karnal he received 2nd position. In AITA Super Series U-14 he got 2nd position. Good wishes with high aspirations to the boy!

Karate aficionados in the limelightNorth Indian Karate Championship 2019 organized by Shotokan Union of Indian Karate Federation, approved by All India Karate Do federation wherein a team of Karate enthusiasts participated with exhilaration and bagged 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 8 Bronze medals. Up and coming Champions of Taekwondo --Prerna SainiTue spirited followers of Martial Arts always display endurance, vigor and patience. It is their stamina and resilience that makes them winners of the fight. Prerna Saini, concurring the same, displayed her talent in CBSE Central Zone Taekwondo Championship in under -46 Kg category and brought home a gold medal. Prerna once again sparkle bright by winning another Gold medal in Taekwondo championship held at Indraprastha World School, Paschim Vihar, by participating in the category, Junior Girls under-46 Kg. On the other hand, 36th h Delhi Taekwondo Championship 2019-North District was held at Thyagaraj Stadium where Shivansh won the Bronze Medal in Under-33 kg category. Furthermore she continued with her winning streak in 65th SGFI GTaekwondo National Championship-2019 Under 45 Kg category and bagged Gold

Participation in Shooting ChampionshipVansh Godara, Yoganshu Golia, Yashwant Singh and Mansi Vashishth participated in Delhi State Championship, Northern India Shooting and All India Shooting Championship. Herein Yashwant Singh Bisht won silver medal in Delhi State Championship. Congratulations!

Selected for National CampSchool Games Federation of India, SGFI, selected Prerna Saini; weight category under 52 and Komal Verma; weight category under 56 for Taekwondo Nationals. Both the girls who play the sport in U-19 category got the blessed opportunity after proving their mettle in Zonal and Inter-Zonal Competition wherein they bagged first positions. In CBSE Taekwondo Championship 2019-20, Prerna Saini U-19 received 1st position and Komal Verma U-19 received 2nd position. Girls are now set to go for CBSE Nationals to be held at Rampur.

MDH Challenger Tournament Incredible performance by BBIS teams in 12th Volleyball Challenger Tournament organized at MDH Public School. Team of U-19 Boys bagged 2nd position and U-19 Girls secured 3rd position. In U-19 Boys total of 28 teams participated, wherein 8 matches were played by our Boys and in U-19 Girls a total of 24 teams participated and 6 matches were played by us. School extends Best wishes to the team's coach Mr. Rajesh Kumar and congratulates all the players.

Student Olympic National Games Young sports enthusiasts of BBIS participated in 6th student Olympic National Games 2019-20 organized by Student Olympic Association, Rajasthan affiliated with Student Olympic Association of India. The event was held at Poornima University Jaipur and the team from BBIS sparkled and glistened at the event with their remarkable performance. In Basketball we flounced the Tournament by winning “GOLD” in U-14 Boys, U-17 Boys and U-17 Girls. In VolleyBall U-17 Boys we bagged 2nd position and U-19 Boys we received 4th position. BBIS also became the proud recipient of All Over Games Trophy-Runner Up.

Karate Champs shine at International and National CupIn,10th International Karate Championship, approved by Karate Association of India and organized by Shito-Kiyo Karate School of India International, Kush Bhardwaj of class II and Gaurav class VII bagged GOLD. The boys displayed remarkable fighting skills against their competitors and emerged winners. In the same event our Karate Champs secured One Silver and One Bronze as well. Furthermore, in IKAI”S National Karate Golden Cup -2019 we bagged two GOLD, three Silver and three Bronze. The achievers were honored with a Medal and Certificate each for their feat.

Arpit Rana scores Double CenturyA dynamic cricketer who delivers exceptional performance each and every time he comes out to play. He showed his mettle in Delhi Capital School Cup and also in CoochBehar Trophy. In a match against Heritage School Gurugram, he scored an incredible Double Century and astonished all present with his skill and dexterity. Best Wishes to the Boy!

4th B&R Under 16 Inter Academy Cricket Tournament, Sri LankaSchools cricket team steered their way to victory and lifted the Trophy at 4th B&R Under 16 Inter Academy Cricket Tournament held at Sri Lanka. The boys played four matches in all wherein Aditya Chaudhary got honored as Man of the Match in first and second match, Man of the Series and Best Batsman. Aditya Semwal received Man of the Match for third match and also Best Bowler of the Series. Kudos to the Achievers! May they continue to be successful in all their endeavors!
