The 33-year Arwind Santos had another superb performance, finishing with 22 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks and later was proclaimed the Best Player of the Game and the finals Most Valuable Player (MVP) .

Moreover, the Beermens also got outstanding performances from June Mar Fajardo(21 points, 25 rebounds, 1 block) and Ronald Tubid(12 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal),however, Calvin Abueva (Aces top scorer) throwed in 23 points, 10 rebounds and one steal with Sonny Thoss who tossed in 15 points for Alaska.

Posting tremendous confidence and excellent teamwork, the Beermens practically conquered the game, taking control with an 21-12 run in the first on the way to claiming the Beermens 20th championship.

Santos and Fajardo gave SMB a 14-point lead by making side steps (Fajardo) and balling 2 consecutive 3-point shot (Santos) with the shoot and a foul by Alex Cabagnot that shoved the Beermens ahead for good.

Thus, Fajardo and Sam Emman clashed because Emman forcely pushed Tubid while Fajardo refused that so he pushed Emman which gave them technical foul, however, Cabagnot made a huge lay up that they didn’t saw it coming with Santos blocked to Abueva’s 2-point shot at the last 3 seconds of the second quarter taking care of the lead, 48-27.

Never the less, Aces trailed by as high as 32 points but failed to pull within 3 points late in the third quarter.
