HOTEL UPDATES Monte-Carlo SBM Receives the Green Globe Certification This year the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort and the Monte-Carlo Beach Relais & Châteaux have become the first two hotel establishments in the Principality of Monaco to receive the Green Globe certification. Receiving the certification is a key milestone towards sustainable development, a policy that the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer kick-started in 2007 by setting up its first environmental charter. The two properties met 70% of the certification’s criteria through many actions in four categories–management of sustainable development, social and economic aspects, cultural heritage and the environment. Because the Green Globe certification is part of a continuous improvement plan, an action plan will be implemented to pursue the program’s aims. Raising Stones Events Innovates With an Orchestral Feast

Raising Stones Events always strives to create and design innovative ideas and products. Because each program is unique, it demands exciting activities, special venues and out of the box ideas. This is when the orchestral feast comes into play! A cooking class is interesting enough, but combining it with an orchestra certainly spices things up. A live orchestral band plays and sings every step of the recipe while attendees cook a scrumptious meal. Raising Stones Events is also pleased to announce its alliance with Platinum DMC Collection and is proud to be a part of this distinguished group of owner/operated DMCs. Teambuilding Enters the Digital Era with Welcome Travel Team (WTT)

WTT recently organized a new teambuilding concept using tablets for a group of 360 people. Guests were split into 20 groups of 18 and were guided by personalized touch pads and by an English-speaking coach. Each team had to film four different sequences in different settings while a supervising coach provided them with local knowledge and energy when needed! A 100% digital game interface enabled teams to interact on a pre-set map of Monaco with suggested paths, which allowed them to geo-localize places available in the area and learn useful information on Monaco. All the videos were collected at the end of the game and edited by the staff. The final video – focused on the four key words and values of the client’s company – was broadcast during the gala dinner that very evening. An unforgettable moment that helped team cohesiveness while reinforcing the company’s identity. For more information, please contact Mario Damiani at [email protected] or visit www.wtt.mc

Each team is given a special basket composed of a shopping list of ingredients (in French of course), an apron, a notebook, a pen and Euros. The seasonal menu includes Monégasque appetizers and such local dishes as Niçoise salad, Monégasque salad and more. The mission is to show creativity and impress the six senses of the local Monégasque Chef while he shares his gastronomic local secrets with the participants. As the activity concludes, the group gathers to taste and enjoy everyone’s dishes. Bon Appetit! For more information, please contact Miek Egberts at [email protected] or visit www.alliedpra.com
