After the release of Windows 8, theres been many new laptop release for Acer and they have released a few lines of Aspire Notebooks and Ultrabooks such as the the V7 and the S7. But the latest Acer Aspire R7 is the strangest laptop theyve ever came up with. What makes the R7 interesting is its 15.6-inch, 1080p touchscreen thats mounted on a stand called Ezel (pronounced easel) that allows it to be tilted, flipped over so you can show whatever you have on to a person in front of you, or to be folded down over the keyboard and trackpad. The position of the trackpad and keyboard is also changed; the trackpad is nearer to the monitor and keyboard nearer to the user.

The R7 is designed with an approach thats based on how people interact with their notebooks and other devices, by allowing user to move the touchscreen into any position, the laptop makes it more convenient for users to reach out and touch things when they are typing or using the trackpad. The hinge is flexible and sturdy.

The keyboard is a step up from Acers past keyboards both in quality and layoutthe lightly-textured plastic keys have good travel and an impressive backlighting. The overall build quality is generally excellent, and its nice to see Acer making continued improvements.

On the inside, its running an Intel Core i5, along with an integrated HD 4000 GPU. It is also equipped with 4 speakers with Dolby Home Theater. Overall, its a unique laptop with a really innovative design.

Aspire R7Last year we witnessed the release of Samsung Galaxy S3, a few months later Samsung announced the new Galaxy S4 and it is now available on the market. With new features and a few improvements here and there; the Galaxy S4 is one of the most anticipated smart phone this year. So whats with all the hype with the new Galaxy S4 you ask? Well, lets take a look at the specifications that Samsung has to offer this time.

First off lets take a look at it designs; the Galaxy S4 shares the same design with Galaxy S3. The Galaxy S4 is equipped with a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, that features Multitouch, and all that comes in 1080 x 1920 pixels, 5.0 inches screen which is a big step up for the Galaxy S series. With that big screen we expect it to be heavy but surprisingly, it weighs 130 grams lighter than the S3.

Next, we take a look at the brains of the Galaxy S4 which is the Exynos 5 Octa 5410 CPU, a quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 and quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 with a PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU and a 2GB RAM inside. A speedy processor and a whole load of RAM to zip through any task one might throw at it. The Galaxy S4 comes with a 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the latest android OS.

Moving on, the Galaxy S4 has a 13MP main camera with auto-focus and LED flash. The Galaxy S4 also features Dual Shot, geo-tagging, face and smile detection, image stabilization, HDR mode and a 2MP front facing camera. Both the front and main camera of the Galaxy S4 is capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30fps.

With all those thrown into one single body, its natural to assume that its going to drain battery faster. But with its Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery, the S4 can last throughout the day with a moderate use of WiFi or 3G internet connectivity and media playbacks; and thats not bad for a high performance smartphone these days.

Gather around and prepare yourself for a new beast that is soon to hit the roads of Malaysia; its the latest Subaru BRZ. According to Motor Image (authorized Subaru distributor in Malaysia), the Subaru BRZ is estimated to be shipped in on the fourth quarter this year.

The new BRZ was built on the collaboration of Subaru and Toyota; where Subaru was in charge of the engineering of the machines and Toyota leading the design and product planning for both the BRZ and GT86, making the Subaru BRZ twin to the Toyota recently released GT86. Although these two machines are basically the same, The Subaru BRZ have some minor differences to distinguish itself from the GT86 such as different front intake, headlights, fog lamp housing and fender garnishing.

If youre curious why its called the BRZ, well, that just stands for Boxer Engine, Rear Drive, Zenith. The Subaru BRZ uses a Toyota D4S engine with direct and port injection technology. The Subaru BRZ 2.0 four cylinder motor boxer engine is mounted low down and very close to the centre of the car to provide a 50/50 weight distribution and give the BRZ a very low centre of gravity for better handling on the road.

A recent research shown some interesting data when you choose a high protein breakfast 35 grams versus 13 grams. The high protein breakfast was also compared to not eating breakfast. Both comparisons show that high protein breakfast will help you to decrease high sugar/fat cravings later in the day.

The amount of protein does not necessary has to be 35 grams. All you need to do is to hike up your protein intake higher than your normal breakfast daily.

As a conclusion, start your day with high protein and it will help you decrease cravings later in the day.

3 SIMPLE HIGH PROTEIN BREAKFAST

1. 2 whole egg omelets with minced lean chicken / beef, 2 slices of cheese and unlimited amounts of veggies and a piece of fruit.

2. Mix 1 scoop of whey protein, fruit, almond or dairy milk, a spoonful of peanut or almond butter and blend it.

3. 2 whole hard boiled eggs and 1 piece of fruit.

A. Yes, you can work out late at night. If you are too tired, try to warm up for 10 15 minutes such as walking, rope skipping or cycling. If you are still tired after warm up, then stop your workout completely because you could get injured when you cant focus on proper form. If you feel fresh after warm-up then you can continue to work out. The type of workout depends on what kind of goal you want to achieve. For general fitness, do a full body circuit training.
