Ban Trail N.W. cross-section
The options:
Figure 1: Existing Banff Trail Cross Section:Available ROW varies approx. 15.8m at south end adjacent 16 Ave to approx. 15.5m near BanffTrail LRT Station.
Figure 2: Banff Trail with Desired Full Amenities on Both Sides:Per Banff Trail ARP recommended fixtures, however requires 21.6m of road right-of-way to accommodate which isin excess of available.
Figure 3: Banff Trail Upgrade - Option 1, west side only, maintain east curband sidewalk This proposed option is approximately 15.6m wide
Figure 4: Banff Trail Upgrade - Option 2, dedicated bike lanes each way, maintain east curb and sidewalkThis proposed option is approximately 15.7m wide
Existing Banff Trail cross-section:
Option 1:
ཚ Remove northbound lane and sidewalk on the east side
ཚ Raised bicycle path on east and west sides
ཚ Sidewalk and street scape improvements on west side
