NOTICE FOR INVITATION OF TENDER
Bank of India- Zonal Office, Ranchi invites sealed tenders of Financial Bid on item rate
basis(BOQ) from Bank’s Empanelled Furnishing Contractors having sound technical and
financial capacity for interior furnishing work for above said work of Bank of India.
Tender complete in all respects along with relevant documents, information & in Bank’s
format duly Super scribing of Financial bid in sealed envelope should reach at the following
address on or before 03.12.2015 (up to 5:00 PM) .

SIGNATURE OF CONTRACTOR
1. Sealed tenders are invited from Current empanelled Contractor/Agency of the Bank of India, Zonal Office,
Ranchi for the job INTERIOR FURNISHING WORK (RENOVATION) OF ZONAL OFFICE AT
RANCHI.
2. Sealed tender - envelopes should be addressed to The Zonal Manager, Bank of India, Zonal Office, Ranchi &
should be super scribed – “INTERIOR FURNISHING (RENOVATION) WORK OF ZONAL OFFICE
AT RANCHI” and should be sent to the office of the Zonal Manager on or before 05.00PM on 03/12/15 in One
bid system. Tender shall be opened on 04/12/15 at 3:30PM.
3. Tender document may be download from bank website or may be obtained from following address:

4. The Tenderer must obtain for himself on his own responsibility and at his own expenses all the information that
may be necessary for the purpose of filling of this tender and before entering into a contract for execution of the
same and must scrutinize the drawings and inspect the site of work and acquaint himself with all local
conditions & matters pertaining thereto.
5. Conditional Tenders will be rejected. Canvassing in connection with tenders is strictly prohibited and the
tenders submitted by the contractors who resort to canvassing will be liable to rejection.
6. Each page of the tender documents is required to be signed by the person/duly authorized persons submitting
the tender in token of his/their having acquainted himself/themselves with the general conditions etc. as laid
down.
7. The tender forms must be filled in English and all entries must be made by hand and written in ink. Each page
of tender paper must be signed with seal by tenderer. If any of the documents is missing or
unsigned/Unstamped, the tender may be considered invalid. All erasures and alterations made while filling the
tender must be attested by the initials of the tenderer. Over writing of figures is not permitted. Failure to comply
with either in any change in rates or conditions after submitting of the tender will not be entertained. The Total
amount must be written in both figure and word.
8. Bank is not concerned with any rise or fall in the prices of any materials or labour. The rates quoted shall
include all costs, allowances, excise, duties, sales tax, central taxes, Royalties, VAT or any other taxes, or any
other charges including charges for scaffolding materials, labour, hire charges for any tools, cleaning of the site,
any enhanced labour/material rates etc. which may be enacted from time to time by the State and/or the Central
Government and shall remain valid till Virtual Completion of the work. Under no circumstances shall Bank be
held responsible for compensation or loss to the contractor due to any increase in the cost of labour and/or
material etc.
9. EMD-Tenderer shall deposit the Earnest Money amount in the form of Bank Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque in
favour of Zonal Manager, Bank of India, Ranchi Zone and payble at Ranchi along with the Tender document.
GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE TENDER

10. Retention Money:- Retention Money shall be deducted from Progressive Running Account Bills at 10% of the
gross value of the work done and claimed in each Running Account bill.
11. Within 7 ( Seven) days of the receipt of intimation from the Architect/ Employer of the acceptance of tender,
the successful Tenderer shall be bound to implement the contract by signing agreement in accordance with the
Terms & Conditions of the contract on the written acceptance by the employer and the person so tendering,
whether such formal contract is subsequently entered into/or not.
12. The tender drawings have been included in the tender document for general guidance of the contractor for basic
reference and evaluation at our office. Detailed working drawings, details of construction features etc. shall be
supplied from time to time for execution of works, which shall be deemed to be with provision of contract and
scope of work.
13. The tender shall remain valid for acceptance for a period of 60 days from date of opening the tender.
14. Tenders not giving the full particulars as mentioned above or as called for in the Special Conditions or not
complying with any of the conditions set forth above or therein are liable to summary rejection.
15. The whole of the works included in the Contract shall be executed by the Contractor and the Contractor shall
not directly or indirectly transfer, assign or underlet the Contract or any part/ share thereof or interest therein,
nor shall he take a new partner, without the written consent of the Architect/Consultant/ Bank and no
undertaking shall relieve the Contractor from the full and entire responsibility of the Contract or from active
superintendence of the works during their progress.
16. No work shall be done on national holidays that may be notified by the Bank without the specific sanction in
writing of the Bank/ Architect/Consultant/Bank
17. The Contractor shall be responsible for the safety of persons employed by him on the works. The Contractor
shall comply all required Insurance and other legislative enactment application of their worker during execution
of the construction work.
18. The Contractor shall take all precautions necessary and shall be responsible for the safety of the work and shall
maintain all safe guards, including providing for guards, proper lights, signs, temporary passages, or other
protection necessary for the purpose. All work shall be done at the Contractor’s risk, and if any loss or damage
shall result from fire or from other cause, the Contractor shall promptly repair or replace such loss or damage
free from all expenses to the Bank. The Contractor shall be responsible for any loss or damage to materials,
tools or other articles used or held for use in connection with the work. The work shall be carried on and
completed without damage to any work or property of the Bank or of others and without interference with the
operation of existing machinery or equipment, if any.
19. From commencement to completion of works, the Contractor shall take full responsibility for the care of the
work and for taking precautions to prevent loss or damage to the work to the maximum extent possible and shall
be liable for any damage or loss that may arise to the works or any part thereof from any cause whatsoever
including causes of fire, lightening, explosion, fire, earthquake, storm, hurricane, floods, inundation,
subsidence, landslides, rock slides, riots (excluding civil war, rebellion, revolution and insurrection) or any
latent defect or damage and shall at his own cost repair and make good the same so that at all times the work
shall be in good order and condition and in conformity in every respect with the requirements of the Contract.

20. The contractor shall be responsible for all injury to persons, Neighbouring Properties, animals or things, and for
all structural and decorative damage to property which may arise from the operation or neglect of himself or of
any nominated employees, whether such injury damage arise from carelessness, accident or any other cause
whatever in any way connected with the carrying out of this contract. This clause shall be held to include
internal any damage to buildings, whether immediately adjacent or otherwise, and any damage to roads, streets,
foot-paths, bridges or ways as well as all damage caused to the building and works forming the subject of this
contract, by frost or other inclemency or whether. The Contractor shall indemnify the Bank from any such
injury or damage to persons or property as aforesaid and also in any award of compensation or damages
consequent upon such claims.
21. Bank has right to alter the nature of work and to add or omit any items of work without prejudice to this
contract.
22. If the contractor abandone the work or fail to commence/complete the work in time, Bank has right to terminate
the contract. In case of any dispute between Bank and the contractor, Arbitrator’s decisions appointed by the
bank shall be final.
23. Tender document in which tender is submitted by a Tenderer shall become the property of the Employer and the
Employer shall have no obligation to return the same to the Tenderer.
24. Contractor shall not directly or indirectly transfer, assign or underlet the Contract or any part / share thereof or
interest therein, nor shall he take a new partner, without the written consent of the Bank/Consultant.
25. The Contractor shall comply with and give all notices required under any law, rule, regulations, or byelaw of
parliament, State Legislature or Local Authority relating to works
26. Bank do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any tender and reserve to themselves the right to accept or
reject any or all tenders, either in whole or in part, without assigning any reasons whatsoever for doing so.

28. Regarding location and inspection of the project site the Tenderers may contact in the Office of the Zonal

work will comprise of main runner made from 0.33mm thick
and of size 24mmx38mm & space at 600mm centers
securely fixed to the structural soffit by approved hangers

dia) to be fixed by approved rawl plug. Level adjusters &
screw etc. Flush fitting of 600 mm long cross Tee (with

2 FULL HEIGHT GLAZED PARTITION:(CABIN+UPS) SFT 300
Providing and fixing Full Height Glazed and double skin
partition of 8'-0" high including door with frame of 2"x2"
(finished size) seasoned hard wood member at max
intervals of 2'-0" x2'-0" c/c with provision of bigger at skirting,
fixing to the false ceiling, slab, beams(Door Choukhat shall
be of 1st quality WOOD). All woodwork to be treated with
1st quality anti termite paint and should be covered with
6mm thick Plywood of approved make and as per design
including 1.0 mm thick laminate of approved make fixed in
wooden frame and wooden beading as per details
including following mentioned items and design patterns
including supply and fixing of Door Lock, Door Closer,
Mortice Lock, Night Latch .(Laminate shall be of number of
horizontal/verticle/diagonal grooves and ply under such
grooves shall be painted with approved colours and
shades.All electrical wires, accessories, telephone wires,
data wires shall be run in the partitions without any extra
charges)

3 COLUMN PANELING: SFT 560
Providing and fixing Column paneling up to 8'-3" with frame
of 2"x2" (finished size) seasoned hard wood member at
max intervals of 2'-0" x2'-0" c/c with provision of bigger at
skirting, fixing to the false ceiling, slab, beams, door frame
etc. All woodwork to be treated with 1st quality anti termite
paint and should be covered with 6 mm thick Ply of
approved make and as per design including 1.0 mm thick
laminate of approved make. (Laminate shall be of number
of horizontal/verticle/diagonal grooves and ply under such
grooves shall be painted with approved colours and
shades.
4 RELAMINATION OF WOODEN PARTITION(BOTH SIDE) : SFT 520
Providing and Laminating the existing woorden partition
with 4 mm thick ply of approved make finished by 1.0 mm
thick laminate of approved make on both side including
hardware and fixing materials all complete with as per
drawing.
5 RELAMINATION OF WOODEN PARTITION(ONE SIDE) : SFT 820
Providing and Laminating the existing woorden partition
with 4 mm thick ply of approved make finished by 1.0 mm
thick laminate of approved make on one side including
hardware and fixing material all complete with as per
drawing.
6 DISMANTLING OF EXISTING FURNITURE/PARTITIONS L.S 1
Dismantling carefully and Removing of all existing Partitions,
Table, Storage, Paneling, False ceiling, Electrical wiring/AC
piping/wirings etc and carting away all debris from site as
directed by bank and handing over the servicable
materials to the Bank.
7 MODULAR WORK STATION TABLE TOP (CURVILINEAR &
LINEAR SHAPE) SFT 690
Providing and fixing table tops in curvilinear & Linear
Shape profile made of 25 mm thick pre-laminated board of
approved make as per IS on both surfaces of approved
shade & colour and all edges like front edges, edges
towards partition and sides shall be finished with 2 mm
thick PVC edge banding of colour matching to table top. It
is desired to have one single work top of 600 mm width with
curvilinear & Liner shape at the inner junction for the "L"
type area of the work stations whose overall size is minimum
of 1500 mm x 1500mm. The item to include the cost of
supporting brackets, cleats clips, screws to fix table to the
partition and wire manager as per drawings & direction
with necessary accessary.(TABLE TOP AREA SHALL BE
MEASURED FOR THE CALCULATION)

8 MODULAR WORK STATION VERTICAL LEG SUPPORTS SFT 530
Providing and fixing 25 mm thick prelaminated ply boards
as supports to work station table top free ends, having 600
mm x 750 mm or of suitable sizes as per finalised drawing &
site requirement. The vertical supports bottom edges shall
have plastic bushes. All the edges shall have 2 mm thick
PVC edge banding of matching colour. The verticals shall
be fixed to the table top and rear partition using knock
down screw system. The item to include the cost of
supporting brackets / cleats/ clips and screws to fix to the
table top and partition.
9 MODULAR FREE STANDING TABLE EACH 8
Providing and fixing freestanding table of size 1500x750
profile made of 25 mm thick pre-laminated particle board
on both surfaces of approved shade & colour and all
edges like front edges, edges towards partition and sides
shall be finished with 2 mm thick PVC edge banding of
colour matching to table top. It is desired to have one
single work top of 750 mm width. The item to include the
cost of supporting brackets, cleats clips, screws to fix table
to the partition and wire manager as per drawings &
direction with necessary accessary.
10 LOW HEIGHT (4'-0" HIGH) MODULAR DOUBLE SKIN
PARTITION: SFT 1040
Providing and fixing multi panelled tile based double skin
modular partition of minimum 50 mm thickness and of
minimum 1200 mm height as per the following technical
specifications.
a The internal frame shall be made of 16 gauge (minimum
1.60 mm thick) MS material with epoxy powder coating of
50 micron thick. Basic frame is of welded type with
connectivity between frames is with bolt & nut
arrangement. There shall be 2 race ways to draw the
electrical, computer, telephone cables etc at skirting and
table top levels.
b The vertical connecting frames (corner as well as
intermediate ones), top & side rails/trims, corner caps shall
be made of 18 gauge thick aluminium extruded sections
with powder coating of appropriate colour as per Bank's
requirement.
c The overall thickness of the partition shall be minimum of 50
mm with internal cavity between tiles shall be 35 mm. The
tiles shall be made of minimum 9 mm thick both side
boards of approved make, with edges lipped with
melamine edge banding. The tiles shall have proper
clipping arrangement to get fixed in to the MS frame work.
Necessary openings in the boards shall be made for fixing
the electrical boxes/sockets, telephone socket,
LAN/computer Information outlets etc.

d Only at select places the tile panels shall be finsihed with
fabric of approved colour with basic rate not less than 250
per metre or plain glass of 6mm thickness with necessary
channels, clips, instead of laminate finish. The colour
combination of modular partition is as decided by the Bank
and approval of the shades shall be obtained at the time
of finalising the shop drawings of the modular partitions
and before placing orders for fabrication. The payment is
based on the elevation area of the modular partition
erected at site including trims/finished surface sizes.
11 MOBILE PEDASTAL UNIT EACH 60
Providing & Installing 3 drawer mobile pedastal boxes of
minimum size 460mm wide, 500mm deep and 690mm ht. It
is mounted on castors. It consists of two small drawers and
one filing drawer. The top, fascia, bottom and sides will be
fabricated out of 18mm prelaminated particle board. The
back will be of 9mm prelaminated Particleboard. The
Drawer slide of drawers are fabricated out of MS sheets
and back & bottom with prelaminated particle board and
assembled with drawer runners for smooth operation a
single central-locking system is provided. All Metal
Components will be finished in epoxy powder coating.Top
is fabricated out of 25mm prelaminated particle board.
Bottom, sides, shelves and shutters (operable) are
fabricated out of 18 mm prelaminated particle boards and
the back of 9 mm prelaminated board. The necessary
knock down fitting lock and stoppers will be provided. All
board component edges are finished with PVC lipping The
mobile unit shall be supported on 4 nos. lockable castor
wheels. The central locking mechanism to be provided on
the front side. The drawers shall have push pull
arrangeents with sliding channels on the bottom mounted
glides of Ebco or hettich make.
The top two drawers shall be of 100 mm height and the
bottom drawer shall have minimum 380 mm height with
gallery fitting and fileset fitted inside. The front
prelaminated particvle boards all edges shall be finsihed
with 2mm thick matching PVC edge banding. The drawers
shall have suitable handles for opening & closing.

12 KEY BOARD DRAWER EACH 60
Providing & fixing EBCO or equivalent make computer
Keyboard platform of minimum 500 mm length (without
any sharp edges), made of metal or prelaminated MDF or
PVC body with raised arm rest, height addjustment
telescopic channels, pull out mouse pad and with soft
palm. The tray movement shall be on ball slides. The
internal dimension of these trays shall be suitable to
accommodate any standard key board. The front edge of
the tray is provided with a soft pad, which serves as a wrist
rest. The key board shall be firmly fixed to the bottom of
the work station's top using anti-rust CP screws, with proper
alignment to have smooth push-pull arrangement of key
board tray.
13 LOW HEIGHT STORAGE (MODULAR) SFT 610
Providing & fixing Low height Storage unit of Depth 450 mm
and Height 1200 mm of required width made with 25 mm
thick pre-laminated ply board on both surfaces of
approved shade & colour and all edges like front edges,
sides shall be finished with 2 mm thick PVC edge banding
of colour matching to Storage unit . The item to include the
cost of all hardwares to fix Unit as per drawings & direction
with necessary accessary.Top is fabricated out of 25mm
prelaminated particle board. Bottom, sides, shelves and
shutters (operable) are fabricated out of 18 mm
prelaminated particle boards and the back of 9 mm
prelaminated board. The necessary knock down fitting lock
and stoppers will be provided. All board component edges
are finished with PVC lipping.
