Principal Report
Hot Chocolate Day - With a burst of cold weather this week and Winter
starting today, Hot Chocolate Day yesterday was certainly very welcome! As you
can imagine preparing over 700 hot chocolates requires a very good system and
lots of dedicated helpers. We had both! Thank you SEC for coordinating the event
from collating orders, purchasing and all our terrific helpers for a great team effort
on the day! Thank you parents for supporting the event. Social Events Committee
have some more terrific events coming up including the Recycle Clothes Party
tonight at 7.30pm and a student disco later this term. Have a look at the SEC page
in the newsletter for more details.
End of Semester Reporting - Term 2 finishes on Friday 30th June and with four
weeks to go teachers have been preparing the students’ first semester reports.
Reports will go home on Monday 26th June with Tuesday 27th June a Pupil Free
Day where we have our Student Led Conferences. Out of Hours Care will be
providing an option for the day with more information in the newsletter. Bookings
open soon for the Student Led Conference with passwords sent home with the
eldest in each family. Keep a look out for further information and your password.
Bookings are made via the Student Led Conferences link on the MMPS website.
Reports and the conferences together provide a great way to see our students’
achievements this semester.
Lost Property - A quick reminder to check our lost property “collection” located
near the Art Room before the end of term. There is a good chance it will be there
waiting to be reunited with its owner.
2018 Prep Enrolments - A reminder that 2018 Prep Enrolment forms and
information are available from the Office and are now due. Enrolment forms for
siblings of students already attending the school are also required as soon as
possible. Forms should be accompanied with a birth certificate, immunisation
certificate and proof of address. Submitting your enrolment forms now assists our
planning for next year and to ensure your child’s involvement in future transition
activities. Thank you.
Staff Car Park - A reminder that in the interests of pedestrian safety, collision
prevention and traffic flow at drop off and pick up time that the Staff Car Park is not
available for parent parking. Thank you again for your assistance.
Kind regards
