We have recognized the great opportunities lying within the borders of Afghanistan and are ready to take part in an exciting adventure to increase trade between the United States and Afghanistan. It is a new day for Afghanistan—a day where investors from all over the world have helped jump start their economy and provide jobs for millions of people. The success of these investors assures us that that today is the right time to step in and become part of a growing movement. Our mission is to create a new self-contained, secure city in Afghanistan available for business—we call this Barakat Park. As part of this city we will take along the essential components of a growing and sustainable economy including manufacturing companies, wholesale distributors, housing and health-care services, retail centers, agricultural factories, training schools, and hotel and restaurant facilities. We expect high returns by directing our efforts toward Afghanistan during this monumental period.

About Us
We are a group of businesses with many years of experience in our related fields who have formed a joint venture with local citizens to improve trade and industry between the United States and Afghanistan and Afghanistan.
The Barakat Park, located in the center of Afghanistan, will be the ultimate form of a healthy society, and is designed with sincere purpose to create an established economy. The services Barakat has to offer start with a clean source of water and power followed by health care for the people. There are designs for a residential sector, which include a day care and a school fitted with a proper educational system. There will be a state of the art hospital, office buildings with food courts, a shopping center with restaurants, retail stores including a super market, and manufacturing companies to supply all the needs of Afghanistan and their surrounding countries. The factories range from metal to textile to household plastics and will include wholesale distribution of general merchandise to all countries interested in engaging in business, near or far. Establishing such a magnificent form of infrastructure in Afghanistan would require room for businessmen, tourists, and guests to enjoy its facilities as well. With that in mind, accommodations have been made to build Barakat Park with a luxurious hotel for visitors from any country to take pleasure in.

The Barakat Park is the beginning of a new era for Afghanistan. Afghanistan was once a place of war and violence. Devastation was brought to their homes and anger ran through their streets. A country that sits on copious amounts of resources failed to rise above poverty lines. Of all the people in search of jobs in Afghanistan, only 50% were able to find a stable occupation.
But now, after the United States helped pull the country out of their misfortunes, Afghanistan is looking forward. The Afghan people have progressed tremendously in terms of their government interests and democratic understanding. They are now in search of improving their state of living by creating a stable society, not only in Afghanistan but also within their entire region. The biggest source of stability within a nation comes from a sound economic surrounding. The efforts put forth by the Afghan people grow exponentially, and with those efforts the economy can only grow upwards. Not to mention the profits Afghanistan has from its extensive amounts of oil, which are also pouring directly into their economy. It is said that the production of oil in Afghanistan will be exceeding those of Saudi Arabia. But, a healthy economy no longer is comprised of doing business within the country. The fastest booming economies come from those who engage in international trade. As a result of these findings, other countries have taken interest in Iraq’s plentiful investment opportunities.

The Basra Investment Commission now residing in the Palace of Saddam Hussein is a physical demonstration of the changes to be made for the Iraqi people. Event In Iraq Basra Investment Commission held a conference with a coalition of U.S. companies, GKC and Businessmen Union and the Federation of Industries and Chamber of Commerce in Basra to identify the investment environment and sign a memorandum of understanding that facilitating the establishment of a world-class modern city called Barakat Park.
The President of the Coalition Fred Afshar told the newspaper Basra Electronic, "Preliminary design of the city's industrial trade in Basra (Barakat Park) would import services and manufactured products in America, in addition, providing various types of services to assist in the training and rehabilitation of local employment for the purposes of development planned in the province. "
He added that, "The plans of our projects need local partners qualified from the city of Basra and committed to participate in capital projects and to ensure the protection of economic and material for the investment project." Afshar also stated, "We are looking for an active partner to join forces and be a link to complete our projects and facilitate the coming of all our partners from the U.S. who can be relied upon to support the economy of Basra."
Haider Ali Fadel the chairman and engineer of Basra Investments said in an interview with Al-Basra Electronic, "The ability of the Authority to facilitate the requirements of the city project Barakat Park and the implementation of the plans licensed are in place, and we will provide facilities and administrative follow-up not exceeding 45 days to start the project." These affirmations reveal Fadel's support along with Basra's governor Dr. Cltag Abboud Mayah's support through allocation of land in order to set up such this modern city.

Rigid Global Buildings A member of KG Consortium and Barakat Park meet in Houston, Texas on Jan 28, 2011, to sign a memorandum with Mr. Alex Ghodsi, the Chairman of the Board of Rigid Global Buildings. The memorandum involved the purchase of three factories including a metal building factory, a structural factory and a component plant all of which will be installed in Basra, Iraq. Upon completion these factories will be able to produce 250 buildings a month. That productivity level will not only be able to supply all the buildings needed to rebuild Iraq, but it will also be sufficient to turn the country into a metal building exporter of the middle east and the surrounding region. Rigid Global Buildings will allow for the development of commercial buildings, schools, hospitals, warehouses, high rises, mid rises, condominiums, cold storages, low price one bedroom and two bedroom houses, shopping centers, retailers, refineries, etc. These new buildings will yield an estimate of 100 to 150 million dollars in yearly sales.These businesses will not only create thousands of jobs, but will also put the surrounding business people to work including concrete workers, plumbers, electricians, tile installers, stone workers, roofers, door and window installers and makers, carpenters, and climate controllers. These plans will ultimately impact all construction related businesses.
