Prevalence of diseases of respiratory system in different age groups makes from 15 to 20 %. Temporal disability and disability at respiratory system diseases are wery high. From data WHO (2001) in world annually are diagnosed by 1-1,5 million of new cases of chronic unspecific pulmonary diseases, from which 35000 end with complete disability, and 2-2,9% result in mortal end.
The permanent growth of diseases of respiratory system registers in developed economic countries. All it does the problems of pulmonary system extraordinarily actual.

The section of pulmonology is one of not many sections of internal medicine in which substantial progress are attained in last few years. Presently possibilities of pharmacological influence allow successfully to treat many diseases of lung. By undoubted achievements of world medicine it follows to consider the razrabatiaemie committees of WHO’s experts and other authoritative organizations diagnostic criteria of different diseases, including pulmonary, and recommendations on their medical treatment.

At analysis of sputum it is possible to expose important diagnostic symptoms. So, discovery of Sharko-Leyden’s crystals, Kurshmann’s spirals testifies to bronchial asthma. Exposure of tuberculosis mikobaktery speaks about tuberculosis etc.
