Throw In Principles• ALWAYS 2 Officials on the Same Sideline
as Ball• Old Lead Always Administers Throw In in

between yourself and the basket- Exception: Lead administering Throw In in Frontcourt outside 3 Point line
• Person that Puts Ball in Play Always Becomes Trail
- Exception: Lead-administered throw-ins

Foul Calling Principles• Blow Whistle Hard (single sharp blast) and punch sky• Report Color, Number and Type of Foul on Spot• Report Shots or Out of Bounds on the Spot

•How To Switch 1. First, Switch the Officials 2. Calling official goes to table-side to report
- If you are the non-calling official and you are table-side (not Lead), Take your
partner’s spot-If you are the non-calling official and you are opposite-side, STAY PUT
3. Now, 2 Officials are on the side where ball will go in as in any other throw-in.
Violation/Held Ball-Calling Principles• Blow Whistle Hard (single sharp blast) and open
hand toward sky• Signal and say violation (counts, travel, palming, etc.)• Point direction of team who receives ball and
announce their color• Hustle to next positions
