Battle of the Bulge
Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memoria - Hamml: Luxembourg’s only American military cemetery contains the graves of 5,075 American soldiers, including General Patton.
General Patton Memorial Museum, Ettelbruck: this museum pays tribute to General Patton, Commander of the U.S. Third Army, which liberated Ettelbruck on 25 December 1944.
Battle of the Bulge Museum, Wiltz: this museum explores the pain and suffering of soldiers and local people amidst the inevitable human and material losses caused by the pursuit of freedom.
National Brewery Museum, Wiltz: in the château’s former stables with its historic ”Jhang Primus” café and microbrewery, this museum will appeal to all beer drinkers and collectors.
Troisvierges: The Smugglers’ Trail illustrates and recreates the actual routes taken by smugglers bringing human cargo into Belgium.
December 44 Museum: presenting the winter 44 offensive in the village of La Gleize (Malmedy).
Visit to Saint-Vith: see evidence of the fighting that began on 16 December 44 in this gateway town, which had an important strategic location.
101st Airborne Division Museum: located in a former Belgian army officers’ mess, this museum presents the history of the 101st Airborne Division and units involved in the Siege of Bastogne in December 1944–January 1945.
Bastogne War Museum: this historical centre, which focuses on the Battle of the Bulge, provides an immersive experience with its interactive displays and exhibits presenting individual and collective histories.
Hotton Cemetery: 666 Commonwealth soldiers and airmen lie here, including an 18-year-old Belgian who fought with the 53rd Welsh Division.
La Roche-en-Ardenne Battle of the Bulge Museum: this museum highlights the British role in the Allied counteroffensive from 3 to 16 January 1945 and liberation of villages on the left bank of the Ourthe.
