• His plans were to push back the Allies army and gain some of France's territory back from the Allies
The Bulge
• The Bulge was a 40 mile wide and 60 mile deep bulge made by American lines - territory gained after the D-Day Invasion - into French and Belgian territory formerly controlled by Germany
Events
• German commander, Field Marshal Gerd Von Rundstedt gathered more then 1,200 tanks and 200,000 men to push Allied soldiers back
Out come
• In the end the German forces lost to the Allies and the total count for the German forces lost was impossible to determine
