Jatim Park

East Java (Jatim) Park is located in Jl. Kartika 2 Batu offers recreation tourism of new

entertainment amusement for all level. It begins from children, finite adolescent until grandmotherand grandfather. Of course, this tourism object has drawn up as family tour area in East Java. To get

to the location, is not too difficult, because, the object only 2, 5 kilos meters from Batu city. This

tourism object is about 22 hectares width with 850 meters height to sea level, save the multifarious

knowledge, and recreation area with various supporting facilities for having relax.

Jatim Park may have said as the different tourism object in East Java province, besides offering a

recreation place and study center, we will get many kind new knowledge. Jatim Park has at least 36

kinds of facilities which able to be enjoyed visitor. Before enjoy all supporting facilities for

recreation area, the visitors will find an interesting view of Galeri Nusantara. Then stepped into

Taman Sejarah, which contained of miniature temple in East Java like Sumberawan temple

(Singosari- Malang regency), customhouse of Kiai Hasan Besari Ponorogo and Sumberawan Statue.

The other facility which able to be enjoyed is Agro Park presenting crop and rareness fruits,

animal diorama, which consists of unique animals that have been conserved, supporting games

(bowling, throw ball, scooter disco), Ken Dedes and Ken Arok food centre, etc.

Jatim Park is suitable for family recreation. The recreation area sites here offer unforgettable tour

and can used as alternative media of study for your children.

Agro Kusuma Tourism

Agro Kusuma tourism is located in Ngaglik village, Batu district. One stop shooping service has

implemented in Agro Kusuma Tourism. The unforgettable experience can found here after visiting

apple plantation, flower, coffee, strawberry, and hydroponics vegetables (non- insecticide).

Agro tourism, which has supported by fancy hotels, lies in 17-acre plantation. This tourism objectallows the visitors to pluck apple directly from tree. We just meet this interesting activity in Agro

Kusuma tourism. You can pick the apples and oranges in the plantation area and tasted them. Feel

the fresh and health fruit from its tree.

You may see the process of drying the coffee, or buy vegetables, which can cook soon. Since the

plantation is wide, it can use for jogging, bicycling, playground and riding a horse. Besides, it has a

mini zoo, camping ground, and swimming pool. Do not forget, before leaving Kusuma Agro Batu,

you can buy souvenirs of its products, including; jenang, apple vinegar, and orange. We also able to

enjoy various food products of Batu city, such as; apples, jamb, brem apple and strawberry.

Agro Kusuma tourism is facilitated with mini zoo, green house, bar, restaurant, coffee shop, warmswimming pool, badminton hall, tennis court, volley field, etc.

Art and Craft

Statue Handicraft

It is located in Dadaprejo village, Junrejo district. This statue handicraft industry has business

relationship with Japan. It also has exported to many countries in the world and local area, such as;

Malang, Surabaya, etc. This statue handicraft has different price, depend on its form and size.

Antique Furniture

Beside known as Apple city, Batu city is also famous with its furniture. Antique furniture industry is

located in Pandanrejo village, Bumiaji district. That furniture often sends to Bali, Malang and even

Malaysia. In Bali, this furniture is used for traditional ceremony.

Iron Handicraft (Gong And Agriculture Tools)

Iron handicraft industry is located in Junrejo village, Junrejo district. The famous iron handicrafts

made by Batu are gong (one of Javanese music instrument) handicraft and agriculture tools.

Although used manual tools, this industry able to produce 25 30 spades each days. Beside that,

this handicraft industry able to compete in international market and often gets some orders from

Netherland, German and Australia.

Cobek Handicraft

Cobek is a small earthen bowl cup, which usually used for crush some ingredients. This industry is

located in Junrejo village, Junrejo district, Batu. The prices usually depend on the form and sizes. It

common sends to Jember, Lumajang, Bondowoso, Banyuwangi and also the other area out to Java.

The main material took from Blitar and Gunung Ngantang.

Wooden Handicraft (Househoold)

The other handicraft in Batu city is wooden handicraft of households, including rice scup, spatula,

etc. It is located in Junrejo and Beji village, Junrejo district. There are many handcrafter here who

able to produce about 2000 product.

Wijaya Wood Handicraft

This wooden handicraft home industry is located in Mojorejo village, Junrejo district. This wooden

handicraft is made of Wijaya wood and has exported to some countries, including; Japan and Korea.

The products including; children miniature, school equipment for kindergarten, etc. The local

buyers are also often order this wooden handicraft as their design.

Handicrafts Industry

Beside as tourism city, Batu is also known as home industry city. It is located in Beji village,

Junrejo district. There are various handicrafts that usually sold as souvenirs. Beji village able to

produced 25 kinds of handicrafts.

Plastic Handicraft Industry

This plastic home industry is located in Junrejo village, Junrejo district, Batu. There are many

employers here and most of them are the members of society around. This industry is able to

produce 2000 plastic bag each day. Bag plastic is handicraft product that always needed by people.

These products even send to other countries.

Stove

Stove handicraft is one of handicraft products of home industry that located in Dadaprejo village,

Junrejo district, Batu city. Stove is useful household that often ordered by many customers. This

stove handmade has distributed to many cities in Indonesia, including; Medan, Maumere and

Lampung.Brass Industry

Today, Brass handicraft is the rareness product in our society. But Batu city still has brass craftsmen

and produce brass product as consumers needs. This home industry is located in Dadaprejo village,

Junrejo district. The producer is able to supply brass handicraft based on the consumers order. This

brass handicraft is delivery product and the consumers can order any design as they want.

Special Food

Cincao

Cincao is food material that usually used for make ice, kolak, etc. The producer of Cincao is located

in Tlekung village, Junrejo district. In rainy season, the producer able to produce 60 tins a day. In

dry season it able to produce 200 tins with 20 liter for 1 tin.

Apple Vinegar of Wukir Sari

Known as Apple city, Batu use Apple to make vinegar. The women in Temas village, Batu district

try to produce vinegar, using Apple as main material. The fresh vinegar with Apple aroma, titled

Wukir Sari. This vinegar has certificate of Health Department of Batu city.

Dodol Apple

Dodol Apel is the special food of Batu city. This cake is made in Bumiaji village, Bumiaji district.

The special characteristic of Dodol Apel is made of original Apple fruit. The producer has able to

produce 600 700 box in 15 days. The cake has distributed to many shop in Batu and also to other

cities, such as Malang and East Kalimantan.

If you visit Batu, you can buy this Dodol Apple for souvenir for your family.

White Oyster Mushroom

Oyster Mushroom looks like skin shell that has high protein (19-35%), higher than rice and milk.

Beside that, this Mushroom consists of (7,4-27,6%) fiber and low fat. The plantation of white

Oyster Mushroom is located in Pesanggrahan village, Batu district and Sumbergondo village,

Bumiaji district. This is health food and able to solve your health problem. There are many people

like to consume this mushroom, especially for hotels in Batu and Malang. Beside white color, the

Oyster Mushroom is also available in brown and yellow color. The Oyster Mushroom is able to

produce 10 15 kg a day.

Apple ChipsThe other special food of Batu is Apple chips that made of Apple fruit. This snack has known by

many tourists who had visit Batu city. It is very delicious snack which suitable for souvenirs.

Beside Apple as the main material, Batu city also present another chips that made of potatoes,

nangka, banana, cassava, tempe, etc.

Those chips are the main product of Batu.

Apple Beverage

The other Apple metamorphosis is Apple beverage. There are many home industries in Batu that

produce this Apple beverage, one of beverage product with Apple taste. They able to produce 70

boxes, 1 box consist of 24 bottles, in a day.

This product has health certificate from Health Department of Batu Government. Try to buy Apple

beverage from Batu city and tasted its original and fresh taste of Apple. For the retailers ordistributors who want to sell this product are welcomed.
