SEE FULL PROGRAMME INSIDE
This Newsletter comes to you on the eve of the College annual academic sessions. We have designed an exciting academic programme covering a wide spectrum of subjects related to General Medicine and siner specialties. Also, in the programme, there are many opportunities for the participants to interact socially and renew their friendships. I look forward to meeting you during the sessions in September.
Foundation Sessions 2012 held in the Light House hotel in Galle was a huge success. Professor Susirith Mendis, Vice Chancellor, Ruhuna University was the Chief Guest of the event and nearly 240 people participated in the inauguration ceremony. Nearly 200 participated in the academic segment of the programme and most of them stayed until the end. Apart from those who could not leave their work places due to various reasons, almost all our members in the Southern province attended the sessions. It was encouraging to see our members from far away places like Ampara taking part in the programme.
Finally, I would like to remind you that the strength of the College rests on its members and Fellows. It is your enthusiasm and contribution that takes the College forward and also from strength to strength.
Looking forward to meeting you during the annual sessions in September at Cinnamon Grand, Colombo.
