The history of our Bank goes back to the year

1884. That’s when King Ludwig II ordered the

Landeskultur-Rentenanstalt to be set up, laying

the basis for the future Bayerische Landesbank.

Today, BayernLB is one of the leading commercial

banks in Germany, located in one of Europe’s most

dynamic economic regions. Our clients include

large corporates and financial institutions, medium -

sized enterprises (the Mittelstand) and nearly

every savings bank in Germany.
