This electric hammer drill is desi-gned for drilling in wood and metal,for hammer drilling in concrete,stone and masonry, and for scr-ewdriving in wood and metal in theDIY sector. It is to be used onlywith suitable accessories (see datapublished by the manufacturer). Allother uses are expressly prohibited.

4. Important information

Please read these directions foruse carefully and put all the infor-mation into practice. This manualwill acquaint you with the machine’sfeatures, its correct use and essen-tial safety rules.

� Safety rules� The BBH 250 is not designed

to drive attachment appliances. � Use the machine for its inten-

ded purpose only.� Never use the machine near

vapors or combustible liquids.� Use only sharp drill bits and

screwdriving bits.� Always unplug the machine

before cleaning it or changingdrill bits etc.

� Keep the power cable safefrom damage. Oil and acidscan damage cables.

� Never carry the machine by itspower cable.

� Never remove the plug from thesocket-outlet by tugging on thepower cable.

� Make sure the power switch isoff before you plug in themachine.

� Always keep the power cableaway from where you want todrill.

� Extension cables must have aminimum conductor cross sec-tion of 1.5 mm2. If you use acable reel, run all the cable offthe reel.

� Outdoor socket-outlets musthave earth-leakage circuit-brea-kers.

� Never overload the machine.� Always use the machine with

the additional handle.� Always hold the machine with

two hands when it is running.� Make sure of your footing, par-

ticularly when working free-han-ded on ladders or scaffolding.

� Secure all workpieces so theycannot slip.

� Never remove chips or splinterswhen the machine is running.

� Keep the machine out of child-ren’s reach!

� Persons below the age of 16years are not allowed to usethe machine.

� Use a detector to localize pipesand/or cables in walls with con-cealed electric, water or gaslines.

� Wear goggles and use a brea-thing mask on dusty jobs.

� The level of noise at the work-place may exceed 85 dB(A). Inthis case you will need to intro-duce noise protection measu-res for the user.

6. Preparations

6.1 General information

� Use a detector to localize pipesand/or cables in walls with con-cealed electric, water or gaslines.

� Before you plug in the machine,check that your mains voltageis the same as that marked onthe rating plate.

6.2 Fitting a bit (Figure 2)

The hammer drill comes with anSDS-Plus chuck.� Pull out the power plug!� Clean the shaft of the SDS-

Plus drill bit (a) and coat it witha little machine grease beforeyou insert it.

� Pull back the locking sleeve(11) and hold in this positionwhile you insert the bit with atwist as far as it goes into theSDS-Plus chuck (1).

� Let go of the locking sleeve(11). The bit will automaticallybe locked in place.

� Pull on the bit to check that it issecure.

6.3 Removing a bit

� Unplug the machine!� Pull back the locking sleeve

(11).� Pull the bit out of the chuck (1).

6.4 Fitting the additional handle (Figure 2)

For safety reasons you shouldalways use the hammer drill withthe additional handle (4).� Twist the retention grip (12) on

the additional handle (4)anticlockwise.

� Slide the additional handle (4)over the chuck and turn to thedesired position.

� Twist the retention grip (12)clockwise to fix the additionalhandle (4) in this position.

6.5 Setting the drilling depth stop (Figure 2/3)

� Insert the drill bit and lock inplace.

� Twist the retention grip (12)anticlockwise.

� Insert the drilling depth stop (2)in the handle and slide it for-

ward until it extends the samedistance as the drill bit. This isbest done by holding the tip ofthe bit against the wall.

� Note the mm reading on thescale of the drilling depth stop(2) and deduct the desired dril-ling depth from this value.

� Set the calculated value on thedrilling depth stop (2) and twistthe retention grip (12) clockwiseto fix the drilling depth stop inplace.

7. Starting up

7.1 Selecting the speed (Figure 4)

Always follow the speed recom-mendations issued by the manufac-turer of the accessories you areusing. This will minimize the strainon materials.� Turn the wheel selector (6) to

set the hammer drill to therequired speed. Turn the wheelin PLUS (+) direction to increa-se the speed. Turn the wheel inMINUS (-) direction to reducethe speed.

� Infinite variation of the speedup to the speed preset with theselector wheel (6) is possibleby applying more or less pres-sure to the On/Off switch (7).

� With the On/Off switched (7)locked for continuous operationthe machine will run at the pre-set speed.

7.2 On/Off switch

7.3 Clockwise/anticlockwise selector switch (Figure 5)

� For hammer drilling, drilling anddriving in screws: Set the direc-tion switch (5) to position „R“for clockwise rotation.

� For removing screws: Set thedirection switch (5) to position„L“ for anticlockwise rotation.

� Actuate the direction switch (5)only when the machine is at astandstill.

7.4 Drill/hammer selector switch (Figure 6/7)

� For drilling with hammer actionin concrete or masonry, set theselector switch (3) to position

(see Figure 6).Set the machine for clockwiserotation and start at a lowspeed. Thanks to the electrop-neumatic hammer mechanismused in this machine, drillingperformance is not dependenton the pressure you apply (unli-ke conventional hammer drills).Applying more pressure doesnot increase the performance.

� For drilling in wood and metalor for driving and removing scr-ews, set the selector switch (3)to position (see Figure 7).Set the machine for clockwiserotation (or anticlockwise rotati-on for removing screws). Setthe required speed with thewheel selector (6) and pressthe On/Off switch to start themachine.

8. Maintenance

� Keep the air vents in the machi-ne clean and unblocked at alltimes.

� Remove dust and dirt from themachine at regular intervals.This is best done by blowingwith compressed air or bywiping with a rag.

� Do not use aggressive agentsto clean plastic parts.

� If sparking is excessive, checkthe carbon brushes.

4. Avvertenze importanti

6. Prima della messa in esercizio

6.1. Avvertenze generali

� Con il dispositivo adatto con-trollate prima nella zona delforo che non ci siano cavi ocondutture dell’acqua o del gasqualora siano posati all’internodelle pareti.

� Prima di inserire la spina nellapresa di corrente controllateche la tensione di rete corris-ponda a quella indicata sullatarghetta.

6.2. Inserimento dell’utensile (Fig. 2)

Il martello perforatore è dotato diun attacco SDS Plus.� Staccate la spina dalla presa di

corrente!� Prima di inserire l’utensile pulite

il gambo del trapano SDS Plus(a) e lubrificatelo con un po’ digrasso per macchine.

� Tirate indietro e tenete così laboccola di serraggio (11), ruo-tando l’utensile inseritelo nelmandrino SDS Plus (1) fino allabattuta.

� Mollate la boccola di serraggio(11). L’utensile viene bloccatoautomaticamente.

� Controllate il bloccaggio tirandol’utensile.

6.3. Estrazione dell’utensile

� Staccate la spina dalla presa dicorrente!

� Tirate indietro la boccola di ser-raggio (11).

� Sfilare l’utensile dal mandrino(1).

6.4. Montaggio dell’impugnatura addizionale (Fig. 2)

Per motivi di sicurezza usate il mar-tello perforatore con l’impugnaturaaddizionale (4).� Ruotate verso sinistra il suppor-

to (12) dell’impugnatura addi-zionale (4).

� Spingete l’impugnatura addizio-nale (4) sopra il mandrino eruotatela nella posizione desi-derata.

� Ruotate il supporto (12) versodestra per fissare l’impugnaturaaddizionale (4) in questa posi-zione.

6.5. Regolazione della boccola diprofondità (Fig. 2/3)

� Inserite e bloccate il trapano.� Ruotate verso sinistra il suppor-

to (12).� Inserite la boccola di profondità

(2) nel supporto e spingetela inavanti fino alla stessa lunghe-zza del trapano inserito, aiutan-dovi premendo il trapano controuna parete piana.

� Leggete il valore in mm sullascala della boccola di profon-dità e da questo sottraete laprofondità di foratura deside-rata.

� Impostate il valore calcolatosulla battuta d’arresto (2) e ruo-tate il supporto (12) versodestra per fissarla.

7. Messa in esercizio

7.1 Preselezione del numero di giri (Fig. 4)

Per non rovinare il materiale sidovrebbe sempre rispettare ilnumero di giri consigliato dal pro-duttore dell’accessorio. � Ruotando la rotellina di regola-

zione (6) si può impostare ilnumero di giri desiderato.Rotellina in direzione + =>maggiore numero di giriRotellina in direzione - =>minore numero di giri

� Il numero di giri può venireregolato in continuo fino alnumero di giri preselezionatosulla rotellina di regolazione (6)e seconda della pressionesull’interruttore di ON/OFF (7).

� In esercizio continuo con l’inter-ruttore di ON/OFF bloccato (7)l’elettroutensile funziona con ilnumero di giri preselezionato.

7.2. Interruttore ON/OFF

Esercizio ad impulsi:

Per attivarlo: premete l’interruttoreON/OFF (7)Per disattivarlo: mollate l’interrutto-re ON/OFF (7)

Esercizio continuo:

7.3. Commutatore: rotazione destrorsa / sinistrorsa (Fig. 5)

� Perforazione a percussione,foratura, avvitamento: spingetela levetta di selezione (5) sullaposizione „R“ rotazionedestrorsa.

� Svitamento di viti: spingete lalevetta di selezione (5) in posi-zione „L“ rotazione sinistrorsa.

� Azionate la levetta di selezione(5) solo ad utensile fermo.

7.4. Commutatore: Foratura / foratura a percussione (Fig. 6/7)

� Per eseguire forature a percus-sione in calcestruzzo o muratu-ra si deve portare il commutato-

re (3) in posizione (vedi Fig.6).Attivate la rotazione destrorsa,iniziando con un basso numerodi giri; diversamente da un tra-pano a percussione, nel martel-lo perforatore con sistemaelettropneumatico le dimensionidi foratura non dipendono dallapressione esercitata. Una mag-giore pressione non aumentaperciò le prestazioni.

� Per la foratura nel legno e nelmetallo, oppure per l’avvita-mento si deve ruotare il com-mutatore (3) in posizione (vedi Fig. 7). Portate la levetta di selezione(5) su rotazione destrorsa (persvitare le viti su rotazione sini-strorsa), preselezionate ilnumero di giri desiderato con larotellina di regolazione (6) edavviate l’elettroutensile con ilcommutatore di ON/OFF.

8. Manutenzione

� Tenete le fessure di aerazionedell’elettroutensile sempre libe-re e pulite.

� Togliete regolarmente la pol-vere e lo sporco dall’elettrou-tensile. Il modo migliore di ese-guire la pulizia è con un gettodi aria compressa o con unostraccio.

� Non usate sostanze corrosiveper pulire le parti in plastica.

� Controllate le spazzole di car-bone se si sviluppano troppescintille.

Tämä sähkökäyttöinen vasarapora-kone soveltuu puun ja metallin por-aamiseen, betonin, kiven, muurienvasaraporaamiseen sekä ruuvienvääntämiseen puuhun ja metalliinkotikäytössä. 4. Tärkeitä ohjeita

Lue tämä käyttöohje huolellisestikokoknaan ja noudata siinä annet-tuja määräyksiä. Tutustu tämänkäyttöohjeen avulla laitteeseen, senoikeaan käyttöön sekä sitä koskevi-in turvallisuusmääräyksiin.

� Turvallisuusmääräykset � BBH 520 ei sovellu sen eteen

kytkettyjen laitteiden käyttö-moottoriksi.

� Käytä konetta vain sille määrät-tyyn käyttötarkoitukseen.

� Älä käytä konetta höyryjen taitulenarkojen nesteiden lähei-syydessä.

� Käytä vain teräviä poranteriäsekä sopivia ruuvinvääntöpalo-ja.

� Irroita ennen kaikkia muunto-tai puhdistustoimia verkkopisto-ke pistorasiasta.

� Suojaa verkkoliitäntäjohto vau-rioilta. Öljy tai happo saattavatvahingoittaa johtoa.

6. Ennen käyttöönottoa

6.1. Yleisiä ohjeita

� Tutki johdonetsintälaitteen avul-la, onko työalueelle asennettunäkymättömiin sähkö-, kaasu-tai vesijohtoja.

� Ennen laitteen liittämistä verk-kovirtaan tarkasta, että verkko-jännite vastaa laitteen tyyppikil-vessä annettua jännitettä.

6.2. Työkalun asettaminen paikal-leen (kuva 2)

Vasaraporakone on varustettuSDS-Plus-poranistukalla.

� Irroirta verkkopistoke!� Puhdista SDS-Plus-poranterän

(a) varsi ennen asennusta jarasvaa se ohuesti konerasvalla.

� Vedä lukitusholkki (11) taak-sepäin ja pidä se paikallaan.Työnnä työkalu kiertäen SDS-Plus-poranistukkaan (1) vastee-seen asti.

� Päästä lukitusholkki (11 ) jäl-leen irti. Työkalu lukittuu tällöinpaikalleen.

� Tarkasta lukitus vetämällä työ-kalusta.

6.3. Työkalun rroittaminen

� Irroita verkkopistoke! � Vedä lukitusholkki (11) taakse.� Vedä työkalu poranistukasta (1)

pois.

6.4. Lisäkahvan asennus (kuva 2)

Käytä vasaraporakonetta turvallisu-ussyistä ainoastaan lisäkahvan (4)kera.� Käännä lisäkahvan (4) tarttum-

akahvaa (12) vasemmalle.� Työnnä lisäkahva (4) poranistu-

kan ylitse ja käännä se haluttu-un asentoon.

� Käännä tarttumakahvaa (12)vasemmalle, jotta lisäkahva (4)lukkiutuu kiinni tähän asentoon.

6.5. Poraussyvyyden rajoittimen säätö (kuvat 2/3)

� Pane poranterä paikalleen jalukitse se.

� Käännä tarttumakahvaa (12)vasemmalle.

� Aseta poraussyvyyden rajoitin(2) tarttumakahvaan ja työnnäsitä eteenpäin paikalleen asete-tun poranterän mittaiseksi,tässä on eduksi painaa poran-terää sileään seinään.

� Lue poraussyvyyden rajoittimen(2) asteikosta sen pituus milli-metreinä ja vähennä tästäarvosta haluttu poraussyvyys.

� Säädä poraussyvyyden rajoitin(2) täten lasketun arvon mukai-seksi ja käännä tarttumakahvaa(12) oikealle, jotta poraussyvyy-den rajoitin lukkiutuu paikal-leen.

7. Käyttöönotto

7.1 Kierrosluvun ennakkosäätö(kuva 4)

Jotta käytössä esiintyy mahdolli-simman vähän kulumista, tuleeaina noudattaa lisävarusteiden val-mistajan antamia kierroslukusuosi-tuksia. � Voit säätää vasaraporakoneen

ennalta halutulle kierrosluvullekääntämällä säätöpyörää (6).

7.3. Vaihtokytkin: Kiertosuunta oikeaan/vasempaan (kuva 5)

� Vasaraporaaminen, poraami-nen, ruuvien vääntö: työnnävalintavipu (5) asentoon „R“ =kiertosuunta oikealle.

� Ruuvien irroittaminen: työnnävalintavipu (5) asentoon „L“ =kiertosuunta vasemmalle.

� Työnnä valintavipua (5) vainkun kone on pysähtynyt.

7.4. Vaihtokytkin: Poraus / vasaraporaus (kuvat 6/7)

� Betonin tai muurien vasarapor-austa varten tulee vaihtokytkin(3) kääntää asentoon (kts.kuvaa 6).Kytke koneen kiertosuuntaoikealle, aloita alhaisella kier-rosluvulla, sillä vasarapora-koneen sähkö-paineilmakäyttöi-sen vasarakoneiston vuoksi ei,toisin kuin iskuporakoneessa,poran teho ole riippuvainenpuristuspaineesta. Korkeampipuristuspaine ei siksi nostatyötehoa.

� Kun poraat puuta tai metallia taiväännät ruuveja, on vaihtokyt-kin (3) käännettävä asentoon (kts. kuvaa 7). Aseta valintakytkimellä (5) kier-tosuunta oikealle (ruuveja irroit-taessasi vasemmalle), valitsehaluttu kierrosluku ennakoltasäätöpyörällä (6) ja käynnistäkone painamalla Päälle/Pois-katkaisinta.

8. Huolto

� Pidä koneen tuuletusraot ainaavoinna ja puhtaina.

� Poista pöly ja lika koneestasäännöllisin väliajoin. Käytäpuhdistukseen parhaiten pain-eilmaa tai riepua.

� Älä käytä muoviosien puhdi-stukseen syövyttäviä aineita.

� Jos kipinöitä syntyy liikaa, tar-kasta hiiliharjojen kunto.
