Canada made a major contribution to Allied air superiority during World War II.

Canada, Great Britain, New Zealand and Australia

signed an agreement creating the BCATP.

On the southern parts of Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan,

farmer's fields were transformed in a matter of a few months into

operational schools.

The governments used propaganda to get young men to join the war effort.

- Pilots

- Navigators

- bomb aimers

- wireless operators

- air gunners

- flight engineers train in Canada

Training was offered for all of these jobs in the air force.

Thousands of pilots were trained here (Ottawa during WWII)

go to the war.

People know that it is a right idea to have BCATP,

because it trained 131,553 pilots, navigators, bomb

aimers, wireless operators, air gunners, and flight

engineers. (During WW2)
