sets for each stage. I am working on creating classes in Quizlet to monitor engagement and practice.

2. Memrise – search “Cambridge Latin Course” under “courses”; I REALLY like this tool

HINT: There may be extra-credit and rewards for the students who practice using these tools!

This week in Reading w/Mr. Martinez

[email protected]

Students will continue exploring the theme of community through the reading of expository and informational

texts.

In the reading workshop, students will continue to build comprehension skills and examine author’s purpose

and how authors communicate their messages through the use of details, facts, graphical components and

organizational patterns.

Students will compare and contrast the stated or implied purposes (e.g., informal, influence, entertain, express)

of different authors writing on the same topic.

Communication between parents, teachers, and students is highly encouraged at BCMA.

Be sure to contact your child’s teacher or Dean Brown if you have any questions, comments or concerns.
