This program can be used as a one day event or a series of four programs. It can be used with community partners to add a STEM career aspect to the program, or without the scientists with just a focus on the STEM components.

Iron Man Electrical Engineering Use Iron Mans alter ego Anthony Stark to introduce electrical engineering using the Soft Circuits stem kit. Children use play dough and clay to create electrical circuits.

Mr. Fantastic Robotics Use Mr. Fantastics alter ego Reed Richards to introduce robotics using LEGO Mindstorm kits

Poison Ivy Botany Use Poison Ivys alter ego, Dr. Pamela Lillian Isley to introduce botany using the dying the carnation project.Spiderman Chemistry Use Spidermans alter ego, Peter Parker, to introduce chemistry using any number of household projects. (flubber, elephant toothpaste etc.)

The community partner for each project will introduce the topic and describe their career and how they get to use science and get paid for it. The scientist or librarian will share the backstory of how the Comic Book Hero/Villain turned from regular scientist into a Superhero/villain.
