the LARGEST supply drive in Central Florida; and we need your help more than ever this year.

The deep impact of COVID-19 in our community has forced thousands of families

to make difficult decisions each day between food, utilities, and now, essential

supplies for their children to be prepared to learn in the new school year.

YOU can make a difference.

Regardless of where students are learning, equal access to supplies impacts self-esteem,

interest in education, and active participation. Knowing this, teachers often purchase school

essentials out of their own pockets to help students reach their fullest educational potential.

HOW TO START A VIRTUAL DRIVE

1PLAN!

! SIGN UP YOUR SUPPLY DRIVE. Visit AGiftForTeaching.org/supplydrive

to fill out a participation form today.

! PICK A DATE. Create a sense of urgency by selecting an end date. Then

remind everyone when their last chance is to participate in your drive!

! MAKE A GOAL. Set a realistic number of supplies you want to virtually

“collect.” Purchases through the virtual store online must note your

company’s name at check-out to accurately track supplies donated.

2COLLECT!

! TELL EVERYONE. Use AGiftForTeaching.org/virtualstore to direct people

to purchase top essential supplies for your virtual drive. Don’t forget to

have them include your company name at check-out to be counted!

! GIVE OPTIONS. Consider also offering an opportunity to make a

financial gift online. For every $1 received, up to $10 worth of

additional essentials on the school supply list can be provided.

! SCHEDULE A DONATION DROP OFF. Received physical supplies on top

of your virtual supply drive? Contact B2SD@agiftforteaching.org to

schedule a donation drop off at A Gift For Teaching.

! CELEBRATE. Supplies purchased through the virtual store will ship

directly to our warehouse and be tallied with any physical donations

received. Your final totals will be shared at the end of the campaign!

FUN SUPPLY DRIVE IDEAS! Part of a large company? See which department or floor can provide the most supplies to win year-long bragging rights! Simply specify the team name after the company.

! Want to show your clients that you care about the community? Offer complimentary or discounted services/products when they show their virtual store receipt for supporting your drive!

! Looking for remote or in-office team building activities? Organize a “Jeans Day” or “Virtual Happy Game Hour” as a Friday activity for members to donate to participate!

! Is three not a crowd? Set up a fun in-person or virtual hangout for people to provide essential school supplies, make a difference, and have a good time together!

! Think outside the box and invite families, friends, and your network to get involved!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSIs my donation tax-deductible?

A Gift For Teaching (AGFT) is a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization as defined in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations to AGFT are tax-deductible, please consult a tax professional for futher details and questions. Our Federal Tax ID Number is 59-3515162.

What’s better? School supplies or financial donations?BOTH are important to help keep local children equiped with supplies for the entire school year. School supply lists can be long, but the Top 7 Essentials are the most needed and requested supplies for students. For every financial $1 donation received, up to $10 worth of additional supplies on the school list can be provided.

How do I donate supplies to a virtual drive online?Easy! Visit our virtual store online at AGiftForTeaching.org/virtualstore, select the top essential supplies you wish to donate, and check out your cart just like in a physical store. Remember to provide the company’s name at check out to help accurately track donations to their drive!

Will I know how many supplies my company has donated online?When you share the virtual store link with your team, be sure to mention adding your company’s name when prompted at checkout to accurately track supplies donated online. Supplies purchased through the virtual store will be shipped directly to AGFT and final totals will be shared at the end of the campaign.

Are you still accepting physical supply drive donations?Yes! Please contact B2SD@agiftforteaching.org to schedule a donation drop off at A Gift For Teaching. AGFT does not have the capacity to pick-up donations. If you have additional concerns, please contact us.

Don’t forget to mark your calendar from August 7 to August 9 for tax free weekend to stock up on Back-to-School supplies!

From July 22 to August 2, visit any Publix Super Market in Orange or Osceola County to contribute $5 or more at the register to benefit AGFT and to receive a free reuseable bag.

Be sure to watch WKMG News 6 on August 20 for the Back-to-School Drive Telethon. Donations received that day will be DOUBLED thanks to generous matching funders!
