Kindness---St. Nicholas---Volunteer Week B

Dear St. IsidoreFamilies,

Thank you to somany of you who were able to attend the Sip & Shop last night. It was ahuge hit. Many were able to get some Christmasshopping done while socializing withfriends. Thank you to Whitney Jacobson, Averi Spalasso, and AlyssaPhillips for planningsuch a fantastic evening. Thank you to our wonderful PTG for your help and support oftheSip & Shop event. It was FABULOUS!

This is such aspecial and busy time of year. There is so much happening, Reconciliation,KOC Toy Drive (don’t forget your toys for this Friday),Christmas Boutique, ChristmasConcert, the 1st grade pageant, etc… I would liketo remind you, even though you may bevery busy and multitasking, please bediligent during AM and PM carpool. We are seeingmany parents on their cell phones, cutting one another off,and not respecting thedirections of the St. Isidore faculty and staff. We are there to ensure all students aresafe,not to irritate or aggravate parents. The potential of someone getting hurt is alwaysthere, so wedo our best to manage carpool to accommodate student safety. Thank you forworking with us towardthis common goal.

Our students aredoing some amazing things in technology. Monday, St. Isidore studentsjoinedmillions of children around the world to participate in the Hour of Codeevent. Students used computer code, repeats, and conditional statementsto complete codingchallenges presented to them. This is St. Isidore'sthird year participating in this wonderfulevent to get our students exposed toand excited about programming during Computer

Science Education Week.

Does yourfamily want to light the Advent wreath at Mass? We are in need of a fewfamilies to volunteer to light theAdvent wreath at the 4 o’clock masses on Saturday,December 10 and Saturday,December 17. If you are interested in doing this with yourfamily, please contactRose in the parish office at 925-362-1915. She can answer anyquestions you may have.

The Christmasconcert is next week. Please makesure students are wearing theirChristmas best. No jeans, shorts, strapless, or spaghetti straps. Also everystudent’s backmust be covered and skirts or dresses must be no shorter than 3”above the knee. If youhave anyquestions regarding dress code for these events, please consult theschoolhandbook. Our concert will beginat 7:00 PM in the Msgr. Cardelli Center. Studentsshould arrive by 6:45 PM.

Prayers

Please pray for the Christensen's great grandmother who passed awayrecently. Please pray for the Sandbergen family, whose 5 year oldniece recently passed away from brain cancer. Please also pray forChris Jordan who is recovering from surgery. Please also keep prayingfor Cara Varon's mother who is very ill and for a speedy recovery forJoe Andre, a student at St. Raymond School. Let's also pray for allthose who are suffering from illnesses. May God keep them in Histender,loving care.

Parent’s Night Out! Mark Your Calendar - As a special thankyou to our wonderful St. Isidore community, we are offering aFREE Parents' Night Out, next Friday, December 9th from5:30-8:30pm. Drop off the kids in the St. Isidore room andhead out for a night on the town - get some Christmasshopping done or enjoy a much-needed date night. We'll

Christmas Boutique is coming! Our annual Christmas boutique will be thisTuesday, December 13th. Please send 24 of the same individually wrapped gifts perfamily to school on Monday, December 12th during morning carpool. Students

“shop” at the boutique Tuesday. All proceeds (and any remaining gifts) go to oursister schools in the Diocese of Oakland. Click here to volunteer for the ChristmasBoutique on Tuesday, December 13th.

The Giusto flour from the bake sale is ready to be picked up in the school office.

KOC Annual Christmas Breakfast: Sunday December 11th after all masses. Ticketsmay be purchased at the door so, please stop by and have a wonderful breakfastand see Santa too.

CHRISTMAS is in the AIR and the CANDY CANES are HERE! CANDY CANE GRAMSALES will be on TUESDAY and THURSDAYMORNINGS! They will be sold for $1. Saleswill run for two weeks. Surprise your friends with a holiday treat! ALL PROCEEDSfrom sales will go to buy wheelchairs for people in need around the world! Wethankyou for your support this Holiday Season! With the proceeds so far we are ableto purchase 4 wheelchairs. Yeah!
