  • POST-TOAST BACKSTAGE: BERNSTEIN BIRTHDAYSaturday, September 8 Immediately following Bernstein Centennial Opening NightJoin us as we toast the opening of a new season and our wonderful musicians, as well as Leonard Bernstein’s 100th birthday, in an intimate backstage champagne toast with delicious birthday cake following the concert. This will also be an opportunity to meet the new musicians who have just joined the Nashville Symphony for the 2018/19 season! Complimentary champagne provided.

    INSIDER’S ACCESS EVENT: FROM SILVER SCREEN TO SYMPHONYWednesday, October 24, at 5:30 pm Join us for a panel and tour of Laura Turner Concert Hall as we set up for Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas in Concert (performed the following evenings). Conductor Enrico Lopez-Yanez, musicians and audio-video technicians will walk us through the process of creating a live performance of a movie score with your Nashville Symphony. Refreshments will be served.

    GOVERNING MEMBERS OPEN DRESS REHEARSAL:STRAVINSKY, RAVEL AND STRAUSSThursday, November 15, at 6 pm Gain a sneak peek into how the orchestra rehearses for a performance, with guest conductor Hans Graf. Join us at 6 pm for champagne and a visit from Nashville Symphony Chorus director Tucker Biddlecomb, followed by the dress rehearsal inside Laura Turner Concert Hall.

    SCAVENGER HUNTWednesday, January 16, at 5 pm Musicians, staff, Crescendo Club and Governing Members come together for a unique evening exploring the hidden gems of Schermerhorn Symphony Center. We’ll learn fun facts, search for clues, solve puzzles and then join together for a reception afterwards. Refreshments will be provided.

    INSIDER’S ACCESS EVENT: CARMINA BURANA SNEAK PEEKWednesday, February 13, at 5 pm A panel of our main collaborators on this incredible project will come together to discuss what it takes for a huge project like this to happen. Join supporters from the Nashville Ballet for refreshments, learning about the different aspects of our 2019 Carmina Burana project, and socializing.

    CLASSICAL SERIES PRE-CONCERT DINNER Saturday, May 4, at 6 pm Gather, eat and socialize with other Governing Members and special musician guests prior to the performance of Rachmanninof’s Third Piano Concerto and Sibelius' Fifth with the Nashville Symphony. A table for 12 will be reserved at a downtown restaurant TBD. Must RSVP to the Symphony. Each patron will pay for their own meal.

    INSIDER’S ACCESS EVENT: ‘TURANGALÎLA’ PREVIEW Monday, March 4, at 5 pm This monumental symphonic piece closes out our 2018/19 Classical Series in May 2019. Learn more about composer Olivier Messaien, explore the history of this unique work, and find out the answer to the question, “What is an ondes Martenot?”
