Dear Parents,

North Star Academy is always looking for ways to educate students on var ious careers that t hey might have an interest in. As part of t his effor t , we like to br ing in var ious professionals for what we call Lunch With A Pro. Lunch With A Pro is where a professional comes in and spends lunch with a select group of middle school students who have expressed interest in the professional's part icular f ield. The professional provides a 10-15 minute presentat ion about what he/ she does (schooling required, best and worst part s of t heir career, a day in the life of-, et c.) and then answers quest ions from the students for t en-or-so minutes. The t ime commitment would be from 11:15 - 11:40 a.m.

I f you are interested in providing a Lunch With A Pro presentat ion in the coming weeks or months, please sign-up on this Google Sheet (you do not need a Google account to access the Google Sheet ):

ht tps:/ / docs.google.com/ spreadsheets/ d/ 18YxcDix4pgY05ChBbSBdLyGPW2PI wfxxCmEKzj2SSoA/ edit?usp=shar ing

Most of t he days on the Google Sheet are Tuesday and Thursday. I f you'd like to part icipate but none of t he days listed will work for you, please contact me direct ly at [email protected] and we can set something up. Also, know that t ime spent prepar ing for and present ing a Lunch With A Pro presentat ion can be counted toward your family's volunteer hours. Plus, you will have my, and the school's, deepest appreciat ion and grat it ude.

I hope to hear from you!
