Class 4 The Retrained Racehorse Challenge Mare/gelding 4yrs old or over of any height. Riders must be 15yrs old
or over on the 1st January. Horses to be ridden in any suitable bridle and should be plaited. The first 3 qualify for the final at Royal Windsor show 2015. All entries must be registered with Weatherbys in the General Stud Book and with RoR. This class is open to thoroughbreds that HAVE raced only. There will be a prize for the highest placed veteran 15 yrs or over. Horses will NOT be ridden by the judges. Competitors must wear a safety/kite mark hard hat with a chinstrap. All those entering horses and/or
RING ONE (cont.) participating in the show agree to be bound by the RoR rules and
Regulations from time to time in force. The class to be judged 50% jumping 15% style while jumping and performance. 15% awarded for individual show and 20% conformation and suitability to be retrained. Phase 1: Jumping to be judged: 6 rustic jumps (2’9”) with optional bonus fence (3’3”). The following points to be deducted at the end of each jumping round: 4 points to be deducted for a knock down. 4 points to be deducted for a refusal. 3 refusals at any fence elimination. 50 marks maximum (5 each fence for 6 fences & 10 for each bonus fence if bonus fence jumped clear). 15 extra marks style & performance. Phase 2: Class returns without boots & judged for an individual show/conformation. (In some classes, at the judge’s discretion, horses might be asked to do a ‘show’ following their jumping without leaving the ring. This is often the case
with a larger number in class). Each horse to complete an individual show of no longer than 1 ½ minutes. Show to include the following movements, Walk, Trot, canter showing change of leg, extended canter(gallop) halt and stand, walk off on long rein. Total marks 15 (to include performance, amount of retraining, suitable to diversify) Each horse to be presented in front of the judge, ridden & prior to phase 2 for confirmation and suitability to be retrained. Total marks 20. Racing injuries will be over looked.

Class 7 The Jockey Club RoR Novice Thoroughbred Ridden Show Horse Thoroughbred mare/gelding, 4 yrs old or over, any height. To take part in
this class, horses must NOT have won any open show class(RoR, SEIB/HOYS qualifier or any other open show class). Riders must be 15 yrs or over on 1st January. Horse should be ridden in a snaffle, Pelham or simple double bridle. Horse should be plaited. The first 3 go forward to the championship at the Aintree National Showing Show July 2014 or 2015 for shows August 2014 to July 2015. All entries MUST be registered with Weatherbys in there general stud book and MUST also be registered with the RoR. The class is open to thoroughbreds that have RACED. The class will run under the rules of RoR. Horses will NOT be ridden by the judge; each horse to complete an individual show or no longer than 1 ½ minutes to include the following movements: Walk, Trot, Canter show in change of leg, extended canter, halt and stand, walk off on long rein. Horses will be stripped for confirmation. All those entering horses and/or participating in the show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force. Please be aware that the show will split the class on the horse’s last run in a race(NH or Flat) should the entries exceed 20. Please mark your entry form accordingly. Class 48 Side Saddle Concours d’Elgance The sole criterion for this class is the elegance of the picture presented by
horse and rider. Attention may be paid to the rider’s personal appearance but detailed inspection of rider or tack is not required. Fancy dress or period costume is not permitted. Competitors are required to walk, trot and canter. No individual show is required, but the Judge may ask groups of three or four riders to give short displays. 3 special rosettes will be awarded: to the highest placed Adult rider wearing a silk hat, to the highest placed Adult rider wearing a bowler hat and the highest placed Junior, provided they are members of the S.S.A.
N.B. Silk hats are permitted to be worn by adults IN THIS CLASS AT ANY TIME OF DAY. Juniors must wear hats to current British Safety standards or above for this class. Adult riders not wearing such hats do so at their own risk.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY1. Judge’s decision is final in all classes. Any objections must be made in writing within 30 minutes, with a deposit of £10.00.2. The right is reserved to cancel or alter prizes it there are insufficient entries.3. All Hunter classes will be judged under H.I.S. rules.4. Show Jumping classes will be judges under B.S.J.A. rules.5. HARD HATS MUST BE WORN, and chin straps fastened at all times by rider when mounted.
