Prep skin with brightening revitalising products with lots of vitamin C for a fresh bright complexion. Vitamin C stimulates the production of collagen in the skin which makes it plump, supple and youthful. Vitamin C is found in a lot of fruits so not only investing in good skin care is important but add these to you daily diet to glow from within.

1.Apply cleansing oil to the face really massaging the products in an upwards circular motion.

2.Dip and rinse your flannel in a bowl hot water (not too hot you don’t want to burst any capillaries). Press the hot flannel onto the skin and buff away the oil. Once the skin is cleansed press the hot flannel into the skin to steam out any impurities or loosen any blackheads.

3.Knowing your skin type- recognising your skin type is crucial when making your skin look its best, especially for the next step which is the facial scrub. It’s like putting your clothes in the wash with no direction; you wouldn’t want your delicates on a hot wash would you?

Skin types:Dry: Feels tight, soaks up moisture, matte appearance.Oily: Produces a shiny film, can feel greasy and needs little moisture.Combination: Dry cheek area, greasy T zone (Nose, forehead, chin.)

Dry skin will need a hydrating or sensitive scrub or just make sure that the scrub you are using is really lathered up so it is not to harsh. Normal/oily skin can have a stronger facial scrub, however its still

important to be gentle, only using this once or twice a week as it can dry out the skin, making it produce more oil that leads to spots or clogged pores. You just want your skin to be free of dead skin cells so it can reveal the new radiant skin and absorb moisture. (Moisturising flaky dead skin will not be absorbed; you need to buff the skin to new to hydrate).

4.Hydrated skin is happy and healthy skin, whilst drinking plenty of water to hydrate from within; there are many products that can help. Use a good serum for rich moisture and an intake of amazing skin boosting ingredients that seep right down into the epidermis. The serum preps the skin for moisturiser as it helps it absorb deep within, use a light radiance moisturiser for an ultimate glow and a great base to apply make-up to.

TheMake-up

Once the skin is glowing you can achieve the next step to a sophisticated make-up look that will capture the employer’s attention and make you really dazzle from the other candidates. The key for a professional look is a full make-up application with out it looking heavy; it should be a day look not an evening look. The overall result should be pretty and fresh with natural nude shades.

STEP 2

Application:Base- Choose something in between a day and night coverage like a medium or buildable coverage with a natural, fresh, finish. Apply a cream concealer for under the eye as it doesn’t dry the delicate under eye area and an oil free concealer on imperfections or blemishes as it won’t slide off.

A translucent powder should be dusted over the foundation and concealer for long lasting results. Whether fair or olive skinned a bronzer gives you a healthy glow and they come in all shades/ fair should pick more of a peachy under tone but darker skin tones can have more of a tan/beige for a natural effect. Apply the bronzer to the forehead, nose, chin, and cheek bone and jaw line.

These are all the places of the face the sun would naturally hit, also not forgetting to make sure the colour matches the neck and chest so bronze where necessary. For a professional look choose something matte and nothing with a shimmer.

Cheek- Blush should be fresh in subtle rose shades for fair skin and peachy beige shades for medium/dark skin.

Lip- Nude tones within the brown or pink family are great for looking sophisticated whilst still giving your lips definition; make sure you line your lips for a longer lasting lush look. If you want a pop of colour a gloss or a stain is still subtle. Depending on your personality or level of make-up tolerance a matte red lip speaks power and confidence, again make sure you line the lip and use a nourishing lip conditioner before hand for ultimate pout factor.

Eyes- Individual lashes are great for a beautiful open eye, not too many and of the shorter length as you don’t want to look overdone, just enough to make the eyes awake and pretty. Shadow should be earth tones such as taupe, beiges, browns, greys, depending on skin tone and how rich you go with colour tones.

OShadow tonesFair - Taupe, light brown, pale greys.Medium - Medium toffee browns, beige, charcoal.Dark - Bronzed browns, orange based brown, golden beige.

Groomed brows structure the face and make all the difference, there are many different products to help achieve this; you should use a brush to shape the hairs, a brow powder for definition, a gel for thickening and a pencil to fill in any imperfections. All depending on what your brows need for optimum results
