• Becoming a psychologist is a good career to pursue because of what psychology actually is, it betters people’s lives, one can work in many places, psychologist are well paid, the education required, and the difference one can make in another’s life.

• - Evidence #1: The scientific study of the human mind and its functions, esp. those affecting behavior in a given context.

As such, most individuals interested in becoming a psychologist pursue graduate studies. After schooling is complete, psychologists need to meet professional standards for licensure.

- Evidence #1: Communication Skills: A great psychologist has excellent written and oral communication skills and can effectively communicate with diverse groups of people.

- Evidence #2: Patience: A great psychologist is very patient, both during long periods of research and with individual patients. They understand that significant periods of time can pass before substantial results can be seen.
