June 3rd is the day the Kingston Symphony Association will present the Beat Beethoven Run, an annual fundraising event. The race begins as the music does – a full 50 minutes of Beethoven’s best and the challenge is to run the 8 km course or walk/run the 4 km course before the orchestra strikes the last chord. After the walk and run take place, the Kingston Symphony performs a free concert in Confederation Park for all. New this year, we will also be holding a 1 km kids race as part of the event. Beat Beethoven appeals to a broad cross-section of the community. It brings together a diverse group including athletes, their families, and supporters of the Kingston Symphony. Last year, the event made over $16,000, attracted almost 1,000 participants, brought out 500 spectators to the downtown core, and over 75 volunteers were involved in helping at the event. Our goal this year is to raise over $20,000 and attract over 1,000 participants. We hope you will consider sponsoring Beat Beethoven and be a part of this unique Kingston event. Please find attached a list of benefits we are pleased to offer in exchange for your support. Poor Beethoven! He’s been beaten by thousands of people over the past 22 years. On Sunday, June 3, 2018, another 1,000 will no doubt beat him again. They will proudly wear their t-shirts as evidence they Beat Beethoven to jog, exercise, and work out. In so doing, they will be prominently displaying the event sponsors’ names and logos (which are on the back) all over Kingston. Beethoven’s Back! And he’s been training
