EXTRA HELPING ~ Jefferson's Kid's Backpack
Weekend Meals program
Next Packing Day is Friday, March 20th
8:30am at the Greater Jefferson Community Center
Volunteers are always welcome!
Packing takes about a hour and is a fun, social time!
After six years, Extra Helping will be ending May 31, 2015. Extra
Helping families are being assisted in moving to the Jefferson
Community Food Pantry (see below) to receive food for their whole
family and healthy, fresh perishable foods that Extra Helping cannot
provide The program costs are significantly less for the Pantry due to the it
being a Priority 1 with Oregon Food Bank and Backpack programs are a Priority 3.
The Final Packing Day for Extra Helping will be Friday, April 17, 2015 when the
Weekend Meal Bags will be prepared for the month of May 2015. Thank you to all of
our Community Contributors and Volunteers who have so generously provided this
very important support to kids and families in Jefferson since 2009. Questions? call
Tami at 541-327-1948 Or web: http://www.gjccenter.org/extra-helping.html

If you do not see your child’s name listed and they did receive Pick of the Pride it is due to your child’s
registration form being marked that parents do not want their child’s name included on the web or
any school publications. Contact the office if you would like to change that information.
