FADE IN

INT. SCHOOL CORRIDOR - AFTERNOON

The school bell rings to signal it is home time;

students rush out the classrooms and exit the

corridor.

FADE TO:

EXT. GATE - AFTERNOON

Students walk along the path to exit the school

DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. STREET - EVENING

LUCY (17) walks down the street as she listens to

music through her earphones; she looks at her phone

to check the time.

INERCUT MR WICKS IN SCHOOL

INT. SCHOOL CLASSROOM - EVENING

MARK (17) is in detention after school for behaving

badly, MR WICKS (35) is with him (teacher)

MARK is sitting in front of the teacher doing his

classwork looking ashamed. MR WICKS is marking

students homework effortlessly.

INTERCUT TO LUCY

EXT. OUTSIDE LUCYS HOUSE - EVENING

LUCY arrives at her house and takes her keys out of

her bag, she opens the door and enters the hallway

INTERCUT TO MR WICKS

MR WICKS looks at the clock to check the time, MARKS

detention is over.

MR WICKS

You can go now MARK

MARK puts his papers and pen in his bag; he gets up

and looks at MR WICKS angrily. He walks to the door,

urgently opens it and exits the classroom.

MR WICKS gets up and puts his equipment and papers in

his bag. He looks around the classroom to check if it

is tidy, walks towards the door, turns off the lightand leaves.

INT. CORRIDOR EVENING

MR WICKS locks the door and walks down the corridor

where he exists.

INTERCUT TO LUCY

INT. HALLWAY/BEDROOM EVENING

LUCY looks exhausted as she goes straight upstairs

into her bedroom. She drops her bag and sits down on

her bed. LUCY picks up a photo album which has the

print MUM written on it; she looks upset as she

looks through the pictures.


EXT. STREET EVENING

MR WICKS walks down the street, he arrives at his

house, gets his keys out of his blazer pocket and

opens the door

INT. HALLWAY - EVENING

MR WICKS enters the hallway; he drops his bag and

walks inside the living room.

INTERCUT TO LUCY

LUCY begins to whimper as she turns over the page of

the photo album, she glares at a certain photo then

smiles and softly touches the photo.


INT. LIVING ROOM EVENING

MR WICKS walks towards the mantel piece and focuses

his attention on a memorial plaque which has Lindy

Wicks 1966 December 2012 printed on it.

MR WICKS

(Loudly)Lucy?

(Prolonging) Luuucy?

MR WICKS looks confused as his daughter does not

respond even though he knows that he is at home after

seeing her bag in the hallway when he entered. He

walks out of the living room and makes his way

upstairs towards LUCYS bedroom.

INT. LUCYS BEDROOM EVENING

MR WICKS worriedly enters LUCYS bedroom, LUCY does

not respond to him entering her room. He walks

towards LUCY and gently touches her on the shoulder.

LUCY jumps and quickly turns her head. She softly

sighs as she realises it was her father.

MR WICKS

Hey what you up to?

LUCY

Just looking at some photos of mum.

LUCY rubs her eyes in despair. MR WICKS sits beside

her and they both look through the photos.

LUCY

I miss her so much!

MR WICKS

Yeah me too, I cant believe two years have gone by;if she was still here things would be so different.

LUCY

Weve still got each other

MR WICKS smiles as they both look at each other, he

moves even close to LUCY.

MR WICKS

You remind me of your mother so much, so beautiful

MR WICKS moves LUCYS hair behind her ear. He undoes

his top button and takes off his tie. MR WICKS puts

their photo album on the floor. LUCY looks

uncomfortable as MR WICKS begins to undo his buttons

on his shirt.

MR WICKS Leans close to LUCY, the camera pans to the

right showing the photo album

FADE OUT

INT. (2 WEEKS LATER) LIVING ROOM EVENING

MR WICKS is calmly watching television whilst

enjoying a couple of beers.

INT. BATHROOM EVENING

LUCY is crying, her mascara is running down her eyes

as she looks at herself in the mirror in disgust. She

slowly and quietly backs away from the mirror and

lowers herself to the ground where she begins to

(softly) whimper even more. LUCY hears a loud bang

from downstairs; she quickly gets up and wipes the

running mascara off her face while looking in the

mirror again. LUCY reaches in her pocket and pulls

out a pregnancy test; her hand is shaking as she

holds it.

FADE OUT

END
