Belajar menginstall dan mempergunakan trixbox -------------------------------------------------Trixbox adalah sebuah VoIP server yang dibundel menjadi satu dengan system operasi, yaitu Linux CentOS. Trixbox bersifat open source, artinya setiap orang dapat mengetahui source code programnya dan memperolehnya secara gratis.

Trixbox terdiri dari komponen-komponen sebagai berikut: 1. Sistem operasi 2. Database 3. VoIP server 4. Tampilan GUI : CentOS Linux : MySQL : Asterisk : FreePBX

Trixbox dapat diinstal di komputer PC biasa, tidak harus computer server. Untuk PC biasa, kebutuhan minimal untuk dapat menginstal Trixbox sebagai berikut:

1. Pentium II 350 MHz 2. Memory 256 MB 3. Harddisk dengan ruang minimal 4 GB 4. LAN card 10/100 Mbps 5. CD-ROM

Pada percobaan kali ini, saya mempergunakan : [i]. [ii]. 1 Buah komputer untuk Server Trixbox 1 Buah komputer untuk client (softphone)

[iii]. 1 Buah IP-Phone D-link (GLV-515) [iv]. [v]. 1 Buah Switch 10/100 Mbps Kabel Utp secukupnya

-------------------------------------------------Langkah-langkah menginstall trixbox, yaitu : -------------------------------------------------[a]. Siapkan CD instalasi Trixbox [b]. Pastikan bahwa setting pada BIOS akan mem-boot CD-ROM pertama kali, ubah terlebih dahulu jika setting BIOS belum benar [c]. Masukkan CD Trixbox dan restart komputer. Tunggu hingga muncul tampilan berikut

bantuan GUI, buka browser dari komputer lain, ketikan https://10.14.200.17, rubah dari mode user ke mode admin --------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------[16].Jika muncul permintaan user dan password, isi dengan user=maint dan password=password, untuk merubah password maint, di cli server ketikan passwd-maint --------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------[19].Pilih Extensions,Add extension, Device:Generic

-------------------------------------------------------caranya adalah sebagai berikut -------------------------------------------------------[1]. Power off the phone (unplug the power cable) [2]. Press the "#" button

[3]. Hold the "#" botton and power up the phone [4]. Hold until the phone enters in the "post mode" [5]. Once the phone in the "post mode", its IP address will be 192.168.10.1/24 [6]. Assign the IP address to the PC as 192.168.10.X/24 [7]. Connect PC to LAN port of the phone [8]. Verify whether our PC able to ping IP 192.168.10.1/24 ---------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------F.Y.I In factory setting, LAN port IP is 192.168.10.1/24 and WAN port is DHCP client, and i am using the WAN port with IP address 10.14.200.10/24 from the DHCP Server.
