    STATE STRUCTURE

    OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS

    The Republic of Belarus is a unitary, democratic, socially

    oriented and legal state.

    Supreme power in the Republic of Belarus is vested in the

    President of the Republic of Belarus, the Parliament and theGovernment of the Republic of Belarus, and judicial bodies of

    the Republic of Belarus.

    The President of the Republic of Belarus is the Head of State.

    The Parliament - the National Assembly of the Republic of

    Belarus - is the representative and legislative authority of the

    Republic of Belarus consisting of two chambers - the House ofRepresentatives and the Council of the Republic.

    Executive power in the Republic of Belarus is vested in the

    Government - the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.
