What is contemporary art?
Robert Owen, Sunrise #3 2005
• This is a painting made by an Australian artist called Robert Owen.
• It is painted on the wall of the gallery!

• Woven Water hangs from the ceiling. We can look at it from different angles as we move around the space.
• We call this kind of
artwork an installation because the sculpture responds to the space it is in.
