BOARD REPORT
December 2014 Official Publication of the Bella Vista Homeowners Association Volume 6, Issue 12
BOARD REPORTpetitions completed earlier this fall; second was two public hearings on the annexation in general held on October 29 and November 6. Next will be two more public hearings on the service plan and adoption of the annexation ordinance. The Board will provide the dates & times for those meetings via email to homeowners registered on the website and Facebook.
Storage Development – The Board has consulted several companies, obtained several bids and evaluated the options for trees to be planted at the end of Orsobello Place. We are currently working with the MUD for authorization to access the water line on their empty lot and we are working with the City to have a meter installed for irrigation on the HOA’s lot. The developer has provided a contribution towards the project and the Board will fund the remaining amount. We hope to have the trees planted as soon as possible.
Recreation – The Board would like to thank Erica Smith for volunteering to chair this important committee.
The Board met on November 5 and minutes for all meetings are posted to the Bella Vista website after Board approval the following month. We still have an open position on the board and if you have considered serving, this would be a good time to join us since the term expires May 2015. Email for each board member is found on the Bella Vista website and inside this newsletter under IMPORTANT CONTACTS.
Pool – The Board is closed for the winter and will reopen on April 1.Maintenance – The Board is evaluating options for new “no
soliciting” signage at all three entrances. The current signs are small and deteriorating.
Finances – The 2015 budget summary is provided in this issue and we are pleased to report spending for 2014 is less than the budget.
Annexation – The annexation is progressing very nicely and several of the five activities as required by Local Government Code, Chapter 43 have been completed by the City. First was acceptance of the

2014Chili Cookoff
Our second annual Chili Cook off was another great event for BV! We saw increased participation and more and more BV fr iends and famil ies . Congratulations to our Chili Cook off winners Julie and Joe. Not only are they new champions of the cook off, but also new members of the BV community. We would also like to extend special thanks to Bridget Thompson for leading up this event and to Warren Peck for breaking out his keyboard and raising the band to levels that they didn’t even know they were capable of.
A great time was had by all who attended. We are looking forward to continuing with an even larger event, with more excitement, in 2015!
