Doepel

Street/Waterfall

Way

$5995 $2,000 Listed item in LEP

Outside of Bellingen Conservation area

Well known iconic heritage building and

highly visited building

Fairly high public access outside of the

CBD core.

Proposed drain covers do not strictly

contribute to the conservation or

reconstruction of the item. This is

essentially ‘new work’ which is outside

of the scope of the local heritage fund.

Given limited heritage funding,

The owner has had advice from the

previous heritage advisor and has

implemented a series of maintenance

and conservation works which have

received previous funding.

Unfortunately this application is unable to be

supported as it is “new work” which is strictly

not for the conservation of heritage fabric. The

owner is encouraged to reapply with works of a

conservation nature in further rounds.
