Interfacing 2 – 3 ¼" x 22" (8 x 56 cm) y
½" (1 cm) seam allowance is included in the measurement.

assembly Instructions: Press fusible interfacing on the wrong side yof the taffeta strips. To get a 1 3/4" (4 cm) wide strip. Fold ¾" (2 cm) on both long edges of the taffeta strips to wrong side and press. Mark a centre line on the right side of both taffeta strips with a chalk marker.
Place the end template in the centre of one yof the purple denim strips and mark the round part of the front corners and continue the line down on each side. also mark the center line down the length of the strip.
Belt half with the buckleThread your machine with white rayon ythread on top and in the bobbin. Snap on the Sewing Star foot. Choose a 9 mm decorative stitch, we used stitch 121. Sew 2 rows of the decorative stitches on one of the taffeta strips, each 4 ¾" (12 cm) long and spacing the rows approximately 3/8" (0.75 cm) apart.
Center the taffeta strip on the right side yof the purple denim strip and place the
strip 2 3/8" (6 cm) beyond the short front edge. Change to Bi-level Topstitch Foot and thread the machine with purple embroidery thread. Sew the taffeta strip in place with a 3/8" (6 cm) seam on both sides of the strip and along the top.
Slide on the embroidery unit. Thread y
your PFaFF® embroidery machine with embroidery thread on top the bobbin. Insert an embroidery needle and snap on the embroidery foot.
Choose embroidery # 79 and decrease the ysize down to 80%. Embroider the design as illustrated.
Remove the embroidery unit. Snap on the y
Sewing Star foot and change to white rayon thread on top and in the bobbin and continue to sew 2 rows of the decorative stitches on the left side of the embroidery.

the other purple denim strip. Change to Bi-level Topstitch Foot and thread the machine with purple embroidery thread. Sew the taffeta strip in place with a 3/8" (6 cm) seam on both sides of the strip.
Thread your machine with white rayon ythread on top and in the bobbin and snap on the Sewing Star foot. Sew 2 rows of stitch 121 on the taffeta strip, each 6” (15cm) long and spacing the rows approximately 3/8" (0.75 cm) apart.
Slide on the embroidery unit. Thread yyour PFaFF® embroidery machine with embroidery thread on top and in the bobbin. Insert an embroidery needle and attach the embroidery foot. Choose embroidery # 79 and decrease the size down to 80%. Embroider the design as illustrated.
Remove the embroidery unit. Snap on the ySewing Star foot and change to white rayon thread on top and in the bobbin and continue to sew two rows of the decorative stitch on the right side of the embroidery.
Construction the beltCut the embellished purple denim pieces to ythe measure 5 ½" x 22" (14 x 56 cm).
For the belt half with buckle pin the back y
and front belt pieces with the rounded ends right side together. Fold down the extended taffeta strip to avoid the strip being caught in the seam allowance. Sew around the edges and leave open the bottom end. Trim the seam allowance and turn right side out. Press.
Continue to sew the belt half without ybuckle in the same way. Change to Bi-level Topstitch foot and topstitching needle. Thread the top of the sewing machine with topstitch thread and sewing thread in the bobbin. Sew a straight stitch around the edge on both belt pieces. Sew an overlock seam or use a three step zigzag on the short open ends.
Slide the taffeta strip into the buckle and fold ythe strip over to the backside of the denim belt. Sew the strip end in place by hand.

Overlap the belt front ends with 1 ½" y(4 cm) and mark the position of the buckle prong and place one eyelet there. Place two more eyelets to the left of the first one, each spaced ½" (12 mm) from the previous eyelet.
Pin the left and right belt pieces right sides ytogether and sew the centre back seam together. Press the seam allowance open.
Embellishing Use the Decorative Touch applicator to embellish the embroidery design on the belt with Swarovski Crystals.
