Grade 1

My FamilyI love my family.

I have a brother, sister, a mom, and a dad. They are very kind.

They love me as much as I love them. They are special to me. They think I’m special, too.

We go on family trips together. On my birthday we went to Chilis my favorite meal is spaghetti.

After dinner we got ice-cream. I got strawberry ice cream. It was a great day with my family.

Grade 4 – NH History

Tomie dePaola is one of my favorite NH authors. Our class was doing biographies about famous NH writers. I really like drawing, and putting a scan of my drawing into the computer. I found my information on the internet.

In my 8th grade math class, we used Excel to create charts. Although my research shows that McDonald’s food is extremely bad for your health, I am not at all surprised. Every time I eat there, I always get a feeling of guilt. It’s okay to eat at McDonald’s once in a while, but constantly eating there can be very harmful.

Grade 8 - The Dictionary Lord

The Dictionary LordShelly was running down the hallway and

turned the corner. Standing there was her ex-husband wielding a butcher’s knife in his hand. It was literally in his hand. He then took it out of his hand. He stared at her and raised the bloody knife to Sally’s throat and-. That’s when Bob turned the TV off.

This is my favorite story. It took me a long time. It gave my teacher nightmares.

Grade 8 – Ursa Minor

Ben Q. Student

Prior to this unit, I had no interest in stars or planets. After this project, I became interested in stargazing and received a Boy Scout badge in Astronomy! I also learned to use a drawing program to create graphics.
