10. What is Shirk?

It is to worship other than Allaah.

And the proof is Allaah’s saying:

� �وا ر�ك �ش� � ت �ه� و�ال � الل �د�وا و�اع�ب�ا �ئ ي �ه� ش� ب

Worship Allaah alone and do not join anything as a partner with him…

An-Nisa (4): 36

11. What is the ruling of making pictures of things that have souls?Making pictures of things that have souls is a major sin.

And the proof is the hadeeth of Ibn Mas’ood: The Prophet ( ) said ‘Verily, the people who

will be punished the most on the Day of Judgment will be the picture makers’

Al-Bkhuari and Muslim

12. What is the definition of worship?

It is a comprehensive word for every action that Allaah loves and is pleased with.

And the proof is Allaah’s saying:

�ي� �ه� غ�ن �ن� الل وا ف�إ �ف�ر� �ك �ن ت إ�اد�ه� �ع�ب ض�ى ل �ر� �م� و�ال� ي ع�نك

ض�ه� �ر� وا ي �ر� ك �ش� �ن ت �ف�ر� و�إ �ك ال�م� �ك ل

If you disbelieve, indeed Allaah is not in need of you and he deslikes desbelief for His slaves, and

if you are grateful, He is pleased with you…Az Zumar(39): 7

13. Where is Allaah?

Allaah is above the heavens, above His throne.

And the proof is Allaah’s saying:

�ن م�اء أ �م م�ن ف�ي الس� �م�نت ء�أ�ذ�ا ر�ض� ف�إ

� �م� األ �ك �خ�س�ف� ب ي�م�ور� ه�ي� ت

Do you feel secure that He who is above the heavens will not cause the earth to swallow you

and suddenly it would quake?Al-Mulk (67): 16
