Making a Commitment to Partnerships
• Make the creation of partnerships a part of your Strategic Plan, identify time frames and goals • Ask officials and community leaders to identify what they consider to be pressing community issues and needs.
• Think outside the box.
• Even if the library does not have the resources you may be able to coordinate a successful effort involving multiple groups.
• The library can offer a vision, meeting space, research capability, organization skills, public computers, staff creativity…
