SECTION 4: WORK HISTORY

Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC), Perth, Western Australia, Australia.July 2014 to February 2015.

Client: Inpex.Project: Ichthys.Location: Ichthys Field - Browse Basin off shore Western Australia.Role: Sub Sea Designer / Draftsman.3D modeling / 2D Drafting (structural Drawings).

The scope of work includes the transportation and installation of flowlines, production flowlines, integrated pipeline structures, large subsea structures, a subsea riser support structure, andmoorings for future floating production storage and offloading and central processing facilities. The scope of work was awarded to Mcdermott and Heerema Marine Contractors. The projectdrawings were done using Bentley Microstation to produce designs in a 3d model and create 2ddrawings.

My role on the project was to produce a 3D model, 2D installation drawings for colleagues onboard the vessel (Aegir) for them to be able to install subsea structures offshore, rigging drawingsto help with heavy load lifts, using the onboard crane to pick up and lower structures onto the seabed floor etc (this involved working our co-ordinates, maximum lifting heights and angles etc.),structural drawings such as detail drawings of spreader bars, spacer bars, tri-plates, barge fit outsand piping detail drawings.

Leicon Notley, Perth, Western Australia, Australia.April 2014 to July 2014.

Client: Water Corporation.Project: Water Corporation Water Tanks and Prevention of FallsLocation: Western Australia Region.Role: Intermediate Piping and Structural Designer / Drafting

There are approximately 269 water storage tanks located in various regions all around WesternAustralia. The project consisted of producing over 2,000 detail design drawings to be constructedin our design office and workshop. The workshop is located behind the design office, andtherefore had direct contact with the fabricators and hands on experience.

Due to the storage tanks being in remote locations there was no room for error, the drawing hadto be exact with minimal tolerances. I produced detail design drawings to fabricate handrails(guardrails), self-closing gates, drop bars, ladder climbing systems etc, using AutoCAD2014. Iwas also working one on one with a senior structural engineer and a site engineer in order tocome up with the correct design to construct and build in the workshop and then construct on siteto prevent falls and make sure the tanks structures are up to the Australian standards.

MARINECONTRACTORS

23 January 2015

To Whom It May Concern,

Ben Fairclough worked for Heerema Marine Contractors for aperiod of 6 months on the Ichthys project. Ben has been working asa Draughtsman for our Australian business since June 2014. In hisrole he was required to assist the installation engineering team ledby Yigal Oosterink during a peak workload period.

Heerema Marine Contractors Australia Pty Ltd

Level 10, 190 St Georges Tee

Perth WA 6000Australia

Tel:+61 [0] 8 6430 5100www.heerema.com

Ben covered all aspects of drafting for Ichthys project in relation to the transport and installationof the Riser Support Structure and Lifted Structures scope using HMC's installation vessel DCVAegir. Whilst working for the team Ben reported to the lead Draughtsman Edwin den Blanken inHMC's Perth based office.

The drafting work Ben worked on for the project entailed:

3D modeling of rigging / lifting sling laydown arrangements3D modeling and 2D design drawings of grillage and sea fastenings for structure transports3D modeling and 2D design drawings of lifting spreader bars3D modeling and 2D design drawings of miscellaneous installation aids3D and 2D installation sequence drawings2D barge / vessel layouts

Although new to the offshore installation engineering world, Ben quickly took to his role ofinstallation engineering Draughtsman, He delivered a strong performance and was a pleasure towork with. He was very eager to learn the specific aspects of offshore installation in the oil andgas industry.

I have found him to be a professional and results driven individual whom I would highlyrecommend.

Yours sincerely,
