Personal Information

• Benjamin was born on Nov.9, 1731 in Baltimore County, Maryland

• Benjamin grew up with his mom Mary, dad Robert, grandmother Molly, grandfather Banneka, and his three sisters.

• His grandmother Molly taught him from 6-15 years of age. When he was 15 years old he started to go to school with whites.

• He was an astronomer, almanac author, scientist, surveyor, and farmer.

• He died on Oct. 9, 1806 on his farm.

o Benjamin made a clock out of wood.

o Benjamin helped to build the White house with no blueprints.

o Benjamin predicted an eclipse correctly.

o He made an almanac. Benjamin’s almanac and him working on his wooden clock.

He wrote six almanacs.This is Benjamin’s wooden clock.

This is one of his almanacs. An almanac is an annual reference book of useful and interesting facts relating to countries of the world, sports, entertainment, etc.

He made a clock out of wood and even the gears were out of wood.
