The Berlitz MethodWhen you study with Berlitz, you’ll gain the confidence to speak andunderstand your new language through the world-famous Berlitz Method,proven to be the most natural and effective way to learn a language. Allclassroom conversation takes place in the target language led by our highlytrained native fluent instructors, totally immersing you in your new language.This simulates real-life situations and eliminates the cumbersome process ofintroducing a concept first in your native language and then transferring it tothe target language.

Oral mastery comes first; reading and writing skills follow. The Berlitz Learning Cycle - A steadfast commitment to quality


The Cultural Orientations Indicator (COI) assessment is an added value option which canbe incorporated into your Berlitz Study Abroad program. The COI is not a test; it is astatistically validated cultural assessment which identifies your cultural preferences thatyou can then compare to the preferences of people in other countries. The assessment isdone online and takes about 20 minutes to complete, the results will help you understandand leverage cultural diversity when you travel to the U.S. or Canada. It is an excellentassessment tool that is typically used by business professionals who work across culturesand need to develop cultural competence and global leadership skills.

The COI assessment is available in 11 languages: Chinese (Mandarin), English, French,German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Spanish (AmericanoLatino), and Spanish (Español).
