From the Desk of Editors

Dear Readers,

This issue of SARAANSH salutes the vibrant minds whose

very thought process has always worked on the line to find out

a glaze behind the groom and added new feathers on the cap of

COER. To unravel the mystry of human existence we cannot

allow our turns be counted by the diurnal course of our mother

earth. We have to expend ourselves just to keep the whole

system of universe in our preview. Hence we need the

introspection that extends us back to our root.

The process of identifying the solution of the knotty problems

of the individual and of society through Philosophy, Logic and

Grammar has always been cardinal and fundamental as they try

to satisfy the interrogative elements of a question rather going

against the force of the question to answer it. In fact every act

of answering a question is an act of nullifying the interrogative

elements of the question and this is what philosophy, logic and

grammar have been pursuing ever since till the early years of

17th

century when science as a discipline came into form with

Inductivism and Newtonian philosophy Science in its form,

nature and structure works on the principle of propositional

logic and philosophy . Science inchoate its odyssey of locating

reality through the basic principle of falsification as is

espoused by Karl Popper and Immanuel Kant etc will indeed

find itself incapable in providing a civilization with a

teleological answer.

Further, science with its basic principles and parameters has

invented technology with the excessive application of

rationality which gradually forces the culture into the

world of irrationalism. The technological growth has

indeed changed the superficial realm of human existence but

the society has really paid the price for it in the form of

fragmentation, dislocation etc. The world has witnessed

colossal catastrophe from 1910 – 1945 and for that the

application of technology cannot be ignored. In this connection

it is worth mentioning that the place of Philosophy, mother of

all sciences, has been relegated to the margin. The time now

demands that Philosophy along with Logic must be reckoned.

COERian CRACKED CIVIL SERVICES EXAMINATION “What one sees with one’s eyes does not require proof”

It is heartening to note that on May 06, 2012, COER added another milestone in its golden history. As per the declaration of

Civil Servies Examination results of IAS(Indian Administrative

Services) cadre Mr. Vijay Bartwal, student of COER(B.Tech – Information Technology-2008 passout batch) secured 554th All

India Rank in Civil Services Examination. Mr.Ajay being a very studious and meritorious student from the beginning of the

college days, started preparation of civil services during the B.Tech itself, finally after a tough preparation of three years he

achieved his goal.

Chairman’s Message Dear COERians, As you are entering a new session with

many hopes and dreams however you may have to face some obstacles in this

journey. But you keep in mind that a

successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others

have thrown at him. Belief in oneself is one of the most important bricks in building any

successful venture. Always bear in mind that your own action to get success is more important than any other because action is

the foundational key to all success. Know it that facing defeat is

not the worst of failures, but not to have tried is the true failure. Develop success from failures because discouragement

and failure are two of the surest stepping stones to success.

May the success that has come your way today lead you to a bigger achievement in the years to come.

Best Citizens of India No matter whether you are born with wooden, silver or

platinum spoon, life is about finding meaning. Having

the desire to excel, Prof. Gopal Ranjan, Director

General, COER has pushed himself beyond the limits.

He has been chosen for the “Best Citizens of India

Awards- 2012”in recognition of his area of activity.

Selection Committee has chosen only a few outstanding persons, after
